Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered on of the world’s most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diego’s Ryan Bros. Cofee leads to an extremely aromatic and excetionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last Dropping!

Bottle at home with friends. Pour is pitch black with a medium brown head and great lacing. Big vanilla, cocoa, espresso, wood, marshmallows, graham crackers, somewhat nutty, and light pine in the aroma. Taste is huge dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, lacto, light leather, smoke, roasted malt, caramel, and brown sugar with a light toasty finish. Creamy/velvety mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Super rich and creamy, I can’t believe this one is 12% ABV. Super nice stuff!

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, Stephen with the HUGE hookup. Dark back pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, big coffee, roast, hints of spice, nice roasty and toffee, nice dark fruits, roast, milk chocolate and vanilla, this is very nice. Taste is a nice mix of dark chocolate, roast, nice coffee, milky coffee and smooth espresso notes, nice dark fruits, molasses, hints of vanilla, finishing fairly bitter, roasted. Very, very nice,

A pour from a friend in San Diego. One of those moments, sneaking a beer that you’d thought had long gone - and, thank you. I think this is more coffee than the original. The Kopi, perhaps bringing a more fruity note to the beer. Much fun, and thanks

Thanks a bunch for the rare tick Sean! Poured into a small nondescript snifter. Pours a pitch black with a tiny amount of light brown head formation. Coffee is somewhat faded in the nose, but is still present. I get more chocolate than coffee at this point. The kopi Luwak is more prominent in the flavor. There is chocolate, some vegetal notes, and a significant amount of char, ashy flavor. I don’t know if that’s a product of the kopi or not. Mouthfeel is pretty thin, but still smooth, light carbonation, and a moderate finish. I’m just not really that big of a fan of any speedways. This is pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. Thanks for the opportunity to try this Sean!

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2012 Great nose, but vegetal flavor and still some heat. Really unique (kopi) coffee flavor, but some weird off flavor takes away from the deliciousness. No carb. Solid but somewhat underwhelming.

Thanks Dak! Pours black, slight thin mocha head, thin collar. Light Kopi, chocolate, light booze. Tastes "green", coffee, chocolate, light roast. Finish is chocolate covered coffee beans. Mouth is medium to full, rich, smooth, creamy finish. Pretty good beer and would have again.

Draught @ AleSmith. Beautiful black color, slight mocha head. Wafts of coffee on the nose. Roast, chocolate, coffee in insane quantities flesh out the palate. Oily body, low carb, viscous. More extreme version of the original Speedway. Incredible.

Thanks to Dak for the share left before trying the other chili Speedway variant he had. Poured rich dark black. Aromas of fresh steeped espresso and roast. Wonderful rich coffe flavors. Earthy, roasted, chocolately awesomeness. Wonderful stuff. Like a fine cup of Joe I could sip for hours. This is indeed The Shit!

Probably the best stout I have had. Dark and dank, with a beautiful brown head. The aroma is full of amazing coffee scents. the flavor is sweet and malty, roasty and full of coffee deliciousness. To take one of the best imperial stouts in the world and add the Kopi Luwak coffee to it was brilliant.
