4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours black as night with tan head. Aroma of intense yet creamy coffee and vanilla and milk chocolate, some muscovado and bourbon barrel. Taste is gentle chocolate and cream sweet with a touch of balancing coffee bitterness. Loads of dried fruitl. Very controlled and just brilliant! Body is rich and creamy with soft carbonation.

Thanks to Owen for providing this
750 ML bottle
Black color with a light tan head, good retention, lacing and ABV legs.
Nose is of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dark roast. Well balanced and wonderful smell.
Taste is more towards the vanilla end of the spectrum but the coffee is wonderfully done. Not too acidic and not too roasty. Get the base elements of the beer and then the coffee. Excellent.
Medium bodied, low carbonation. Silky smooth. Wonderful beer for such a beast.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Been waiting for awhile to try this one. Regular Speedway is one of my favorites. BA Speedway is killer. Now onto the Kopi series. Pours adeep brown and sits black in the goblet. The signature tan foam remains around the glass after the head falls. Definitely has a sweet spot temperature-wise. The aroma is similar to standard Speedway, sweet, chocolatey, alcohol. Not really any coffee notes yet. The bitterness of the coffee comes through in the taste. This one is almost a bit sweeter than the standard version but seems a bit harsher on the back end of the taste it seems like the alcohol isn’t masked as well. I will still enjoy all 750ml.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle shared generously by Hayden with Bill, Mike and Hayden, poured deep black with medium, tiny bubbled off white head, good lace. Notes of coffee, espresso, chocolate, roasty malt, the coffee really shines through on this regular version. I would be surpised if this wasn’t the best speedway I have tried. On to the B.A. Version.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Let the bottle warm it brings out the aroma. As for looks it is nicely carbonated, it has a nice ceam colored head. The aroma is of roasted malts, medium coffee, mild bitter chocolate, and a slight dark fruit like scent. In the flavor I picked up on the roasted malts, bitter coffee, chocolate malts, and a liquorice taste. The finish was great. It had a pleasant dry like sensation along with malts, and weak hops. Overall a fine beverage. I’d have it again.

Bottle @ The Lost Tasting Of Abbey Beers, late edition, Odense 2013. Black with a lasting tan head. Lots of coffee beans in the aroma, from putting your nose in a bag of espresso beans (good) to ashy, cold coffee (bad), along with dark chocolate, Sweetish, roasted flavour with licorice, coffee, and charcoal. Somewhat boozy alcohol

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler. Pours black with a beautiful tan head that leaves minuscule lacing. Aromas are cream, coffee, dark fruit (blackberry, black cherry and plum, roast, licorice, cola and brown sugar. Flavors start with cream and vanilla, then coffee, toffee, caramel, plum, roast malt and blackstrap molasses. Palate is thick and gorgeous with a silkiness and decadence that is absent from a lot of beers. Overall, this is a stellar beer that really sets the bar for coffee stouts; completely amazing beer!

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
750mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of deep complex coffee notes - amazingly complex and deep - along with a little roast, but the weasel poop shines. Flavour brings out amazingly complex coffee notes - holy shit - never knew a rare, complex coffee could amplify the regular Speedway Stout so much! Other than complex coffee, there are subdued notes roasted malt, and some unsweetened cocoa. Amazingly complex as highly drinkable. The best rendition of Speedway Stout I’ve had. Incredible.
