Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered on of the worldís most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diegoís Ryan Bros. Cofee leads to an extremely aromatic and excetionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last Dropping!

Rating 3300! DAMN! I donít drink regular speedway all that often, but when I do it is subtly impressive. There is nothing subtle about this version. IT ROCKS! Pours inky black with a large tan head over a opaque black hole of a body. CRAP [no pun intended]! There is a TON OF COFFEE in the aroma! Grassy nearly. A bit of creamer. Damn, it is so strong. By far the most complex coffee I have ever put my nose too. It is more coffee like than coffee (sounds corny, but wait until you try it!). Wow, flavor is all rich nuances on the coffee theme. Absolutely stunning. What is really shocking is how drinkable it is. I could have this stuff all night. Absolutely no hint of 12.2% whatsoever! Creamy carbonation. Reading over my notes, I count the word "awesome" 11 times if that gives you any hint of how much I like this stuff. The funny thing is that I donít really drink all that much coffee (as I donít like hot beverages). This stuff is awesome! Heck of a beer!

75 cl bottle (12%) @ PBF Ⅸ Huge thanks to mr. tiong!
Aroma has mocha coffee, some tobacco, dark chocolate, ash and vegetables typical to coffee beers. Flavour has mocha, some dark and bitter chocolate and vegetables typical to mocha beers. Alcohol is well hidden and this is even a bit thin for this ABV. Alcohol notes get stronger towards the end of the glass. Rather good, but I must say that I expected more.

Pours a nice mahogany with tan head. The aroma offers up loads of rich dark roasted coffee notes, dark chocolate, burnt toffee, more rich coffee and a faint sense of some sort of raspberry like esteriness. The taste is similar as it slide across the palate on a velvet carpet ushering in rich dark roasted coffee, burnt toffee, some chocolate and then slick oily rich coffee goodness into the finish.

750 ml bottle @ PBF IX. Thanks tiong. Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate muffin, some baking powder and biscuit. Rich flavour of roasted malts, espresso, earthiness, some pepper, biscuit, dark chocolate and some wooden notes. Full bodied and a dry, roasty, espresso finish. Coffee makes this way too dry. Alcohol comes through. Normal Speedway Stout is better.

On tap at RBWG- a huge thanks go out to Joe, Dak (thatís Doc you bastards) and AleSmith for this. Pours a totally black color with a medium beige head. A bursting coffee nose, roast, milky, even some smoke. The flavor is huge goodness; massive sweet milky chocolate coffee, the best cup youíve ever had. Dark fruits, roast and some char. But this is all about the coffee, very smooth, actually insanely so. I had a few glasses to ponder, and I am very grateful. A rich creamy palate. Lovely.

Enjoyed on draft @ RBWG 2011 with a big thanks to Dak, Smokepot23, AleSmith and anyone else involved in bringing this goodness to Arizona. Pours dark brown/black with a medium sized tan head. The aroma has a hefty dose of quality dark roasted coffee, chocolate, char with some dark fruits mingling around. The flavor has big espresso, chocolate and roasted malt. Full bodied and smooth. This was worth the wait and definitely lived up to expectations.

RBSG í08. Thanks to Peter for going above and beyond the call of duty! Poured rich, deep black with a creamy cap of dark tan head.. I donít know that Iíve seen a better looking beer. The aroma was semi-sweet with perfectly roasted coffee first and foremost.. dark chocolate and toasty, oatmeal-ey sweetness complemented perfectly.. everything came together flawlessly. The flavor was deep and seductive with rich coffee, dark chocolate, and lighter nutty notes.. coffee bitterness was amplified by the otherwise invisible alcohol presence on the edges, and there was a faint glimmer of smoke.. long, splendid finish. Heavily-bodied with just enough carbonation to perfectly coat all the tastebuds.. dry and smokier on the back.. this was a masterpiece!

Growler shared with Theis on request from Doodler. Thanks a bunch. This was truly a pleasant surprise! It pours pitch black with a small tan head. The aroma is filled with coffee, vanilla, hard roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and a light boozy kick. The flavour is very balanced with notes of coffee, chocolate, raisin, sweet tobacco, hard roasted malt, sweet caramel, light chili and warming alcohol. Creamy textured. It has a long sweet coffee caramel like finish. Amazing!
