COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered on of the worldís most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diegoís Ryan Bros. Cofee leads to an extremely aromatic and excetionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last Dropping!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALESMITH for sending this out for RBWG and much props to Dak and smokepot23 for coordinating it! Pours pitch black with a one finger light brown head that leaves delicate lacing. The nose is dominated by coffee and dark chocolate. The taste is burnt malt, bakerís chocolate, rich luscious dark roast java, ashy cocoa and some bitter hops in the finish. Medium creamy mouthfeel. Man, my favorite Imperial Stout on steroids. Fantastic beer.

Bottle thanks to Gibson. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is strong roast coffee and toasted biscuit. Medium mouth with sweet roast, nice bitterness from the coffee, toffee, dark chocolate, very nice.

Bottle canít remember who sent me this...but thanks! Apperance is black with loads of dense mocha head. Aroma is of coffee, ash, black liquorice, and chocolate. Taste is rich coffee roast, black liqourice, and ash. Finishes with a touch of bitter coffee while managing to stay smooth with a lingering bitter aftertaste. I was worried about how this was holding up given Iíve had this bottle for a few years now but man this is tasting great. Really nice balance with the coffee, no hint from the alchlol content, this is exactly what I was in the mood for after a really long day. Excellent!

Bottle from a share awhile ago. The thick body pours a jet black into snifters with a very small but defined mocha head. The aroma is a chocolate bomb with cocoa nibs, dark chocolate, coffee beans, monkey shit, vanilla, and roasted malts. The taste is just chocolate goodness, chased by a coffee with slight bitterness. Vanilla and roasted malts hit the palate as well. Serious mouth, very thick and oily. Wonderful.

On tap at Mikkeller bar, San Francisco. Pours pitch black with a very pretty tan head. Aroma is tons of coffee, big roasted malty character and chocolate. Flavor is coffee up front, lots of roasted malts, and chocolate. Full bodied and amazing.

Backlogged rating from the RBSG 2014: Expected color and some head but not much lace, nice oily tears. Big time coffee overtones on both the nose and palate. Heavy roast, char, leather and ashy notes too. A bit herbal however and a major disappointment. Chewy someone dry mouth feel. For all the hype that this beer brought, it failed to meet them. Give me a regular old Speedway over this.

Poured from 750 bottle, thanks Willrunforbeer. Pours dark chocolate with rich brown head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, and coffee. Taste is smooth and silky, like the Patriots trouncing the Colts 45 to 7. Notes of chocolate, coffee and an exceptional finish. This is a super beer.

750mL bottle from trade. Thanks dogday! Pours nearly black with a chocolate brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, molasses, coffee. Taste is nice and smooth, chocolate leading into a very nice coffee flavor with no astringency and just the right amount of bitterness. A little licorice on the finish as well. Great impy stout!

Watching Bucks vs Ducks in NCAA Championship 2015! Bomber to a snifter. Viscous black pour with ample mocha head and lacing. Classic dark chocolate, caramel and dark roast coffee notes. That Civet knows how to pick the beans... Prominent coffee presence with warm boozy slightly bitter finish ... A huge stout, one of the best... Go Bucks!!!

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2014 bottle in a trade thanks to fireslayer. shared with 2 friends. poured a dark black colour with a sticky fluffy mocha head. lotís of red fruits of the kopi luwak coffee, a really fruity coffe, with not your normal roast coffee kick, roasted malts, caramel, dark coffee, vanilla, toffe, a lot more flavour as it warms a bit. sweet bakers chocolate, cacao, licorice, fruity dark espresso, molasses, bit low carbonated. but itís just a incredible version! I canít wait to pop my BA version of the kopi luwak! i really like the coffee they have used in this version! very good!
