COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered on of the world’s most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diego’s Ryan Bros. Cofee leads to an extremely aromatic and excetionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last Dropping!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALESMITH for sending this out for RBWG and much props to Dak and smokepot23 for coordinating it! Pours pitch black with a one finger light brown head that leaves delicate lacing. The nose is dominated by coffee and dark chocolate. The taste is burnt malt, baker’s chocolate, rich luscious dark roast java, ashy cocoa and some bitter hops in the finish. Medium creamy mouthfeel. Man, my favorite Imperial Stout on steroids. Fantastic beer.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2014 bottle in a trade thanks to fireslayer. shared with 2 friends. poured a dark black colour with a sticky fluffy mocha head. lot’s of red fruits of the kopi luwak coffee, a really fruity coffe, with not your normal roast coffee kick, roasted malts, caramel, dark coffee, vanilla, toffe, a lot more flavour as it warms a bit. sweet bakers chocolate, cacao, licorice, fruity dark espresso, molasses, bit low carbonated. but it’s just a incredible version! I can’t wait to pop my BA version of the kopi luwak! i really like the coffee they have used in this version! very good!

Bottle received in trade. Thank you biggsbowler! Pours black with a frothy mocha head that leaves a small spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toffee, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, moist soil, chocolate covered cherries, wood and hints of alcohol. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, malty and tiny fruity with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toffee, burnt wood, dark roast coffee, bitter, chocolate, chocolate covered cherries and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny tart slightly astringent and near full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toffee, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, dried cherries, moist soil and hints of alcohol. Top notch IS!

(Bottle) Pours black with a pale brown head. The aroma holds balanced but robust coffee profile, fruits, dark chocolate and a touch of alcohol. The nose is not über complex, yet perfect in balance, just as I like it. The flavour is light to medium sweet, medium bitter and a whisper of acidity. Coffee, balanced roast and balanced hops. The mouthfeel is fat, round and valvety and soft carbonation. Fantastic, complex finish. Near full bodied.

Svag doft av nyskuren grön chili och bitter choklad. Elegant och delikat. Bitter choklad i smak tydligt. Spritig. (Så står det i anteckningarna, minns inte vem jag tradeade den här med. Kan inte utesluta att den har blivit misshandlad)

Bottle - Pours jet black. The coffee aroma is so great in this beer. The taste is coffee and chocolate. It’s very smooth and creamy. Speedway is great. With Kopi, it’s even better.

This beer here, this beer I had @ the Grand Tasting... Compliments of RobertDale, a fine fellow who has impeccable taste in beer & canines.
The beer pours perfectly black with a small head.

The aroma is rich & roasty with some dark chocolate, but more just a ton of coffee character. It’s got some rich vanilla and some booziness.

The flavor is just huge, it’s got a bunch of coffee and rich maltiness. It’s ashy, somewhat sweet, but it’s go t a nice warming boozy character and.. didi I mention? fabulously balanced roastiness.

This is one of those beers where it’s hard to put a finger on why it’s so great, except to say that it is just immensely enjoyable.
