COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered on of the world’s most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diego’s Ryan Bros. Cofee leads to an extremely aromatic and excetionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last Dropping!

Consumed like 2 years ago, from a bottle. Poured a smooth dark, almost black-brown color with a nice small brown head. Aroma was rich coffee and chocolate, dark, molasses malt notes to it as well. Flavor was chocolate, roast and of course, coffee.

Bottle @ 3/4 Dangerous Bottle Shares! does Copenhagen minishare. Pour is pitch black with some tiny tan lacings. Loads of roast, dark chocolate, freshly ground coffee, vanilla fudge and some dark dried fruits. Awesome!

Bottle. Pours thick pitch black with thick mocha head. This beer is pure decadence. Aroma has some liquor at first, cocoa, fruity figs, burnt figs, coffee berries. All this on a malty roasty background with tons of fresh pressed coffee and fresh grounded beans. Taste is same, awesome balance. Really fruity coffee, rosy malts, cocoa and chocolate. Quite some fudge and caramel notes. Light body for abv with light carbonation, almost coffee like. Finish is roasty and lasts for a long time. Warming, yet no presence of alcohol.

Bottle enjoyed @ CBC Frivillig fest. Pours pitch black with a creamy beige head leaving some nice lacing. Aroma is dates, plums, prunes, coffee, roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate, coconut and some earthiness. Flavour is lightly sweet and light bitter. Full bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finish is the same as the aroma with a nice warming alcohol touch.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Jet black with a nice khaki head. Great retention. Chunky bubbles on the surface. A little bit leggy on the swirl. Intense coffee aroma. Reminds me of Vietnamese Speedway, which shouldn’t surprise me. Slightly fruity coffee notes. Deep chocolate. Very intense coffee flavor, same slight fruity character as the nose. Nice chocolate and deep roast. Delicious, but very coffee-centric. Chewy. Nice body. Intense bitterness, as much from the coffee as anything. Delicious, but not significantly better than regular Speedway.

I am not sure if the 2011 bottle was too old but I enjoy the regular Speedway Stout over this.

Bottle split between two snifters. Pour was an oily black with a two-finger mocha colored head. Nice lacing, nice legs and solid retention. Aromas are of coffee, chocolate covered cherries, roasted hickory notes and a note of molasses. Taste is incredibly balanced. Loads and loads of coffee hit the palate. Both bitter and sweet notes. Espresso like. Chocolate, anise, dark fruit...an alcohol note, but very well hidden....brown sugar, marshmallow and some roasted nuttiness round the body out. Nice velvety mouthfeel...moderate bitterness and a lingering chocolate note. Great beer!
