Draft sample at the speedway grand prix 2013. Black pour, with a tan head. Milk chocolate, and tons of raw macadamian nut flavor, a bit oily, toasted nuts and cocoa. Similar to chocolate covered macadamians. Delicious.

taster as part of Alesmith Grand Prix. Pour pitch black with a tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of sweet toasted macadamia nuts, rum, coco, and roasted malts. Taste is dominated by macadamia nuts and and some roasted malts and coco note also. Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium long finish. Overall, a pretty nice version of Speedway that really tastes like Macadamia Nuts.

On tap at AleSmith, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out monolithic toasted nuts, and a bit of stale qualities. Flavour brings out subtler toasted nut extract, and some liqueur notes. A little artificial but quite well-done. Decent stuff.

Tap at Alesmith for Speedway Grand Prix. In my opinion, the least successful special version on tap this week. Awesome pour, insane lacing. Nose is sharply boozy amaretto style alcohol, even verging on acetone, perhaps more of a raw macadamia rum aroma. Fumey and boozy. Taste is white alcohol, mild plastic, shell like bitter nut. No white chocolate, oily macadamia nut flavor. Disappointing. Needs a redux or new method of extraction.

On tap at brewery. Black with a thin creamy tan head. Chocolate, sweet bread, and macadamia nut aroma and taste with a dominant, sharp macadamia flavor taking over mid palate and finishing with dry bitter coffee and alcohol flavors. Bright oily and thick palate.
