Draft at the brewery - speedway grand prix 2013. Fresh raspberry version. Loads of raspberry flavor, milk chocolate, sweetness, and juicy raspberry. Very good for a raspberry stout. Much more real raspberry flavor than the vanila, raspberry, cocoa version.

Taster as part of Alesmith Grand Prix. Pours pitch black with a small tan head with some lacing. Aroma is of raspberry, coco, roasted malts, and some artificial vanilla notes. Taste is about the same as the aroma. has a medium body with a cream mouthfeel and a almost cloying, sweet, medium finish. Overall, a okay remake of speedway that I found too sweet and was my least favorite of the tasters I had.

On tap at AleSmith, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of raspberries, a little roast and espresso. Flavour is similar, with loads of fresh raspberries, drowning out the roast and coffee, though the body is still robust. Not really my thing, but for the concept, its beautifully executed. Excellent stuff.

Tap at Speedway Grand Prix. Inky pour, impressive lacing. Fresh raspberry edition. Sharp, fresh jammy raspberry nose. Taste is thick dark chocolate, lactic and sharp raspberry acid balance. Probably the best attempt at a raspberry stout that Ive had. Impressive. Very different from the dessert like cake version of raspberry/cocoa/vanilla.

On tap at alesmith... Dark cola stout hue, lesser intense edges and topped with a light beige head...aroma of chocolate and fudge and a mild raspberry backing... Raspberry, cocoa, and light roast with a bit medicinal backend. Medium bodied with a bit of an astringent backend. Little warming.

On tap at brewery. Black with a thin creamy tan head. Big raspberry and dark chocolate aroma and taste with hints of coffee and vanilla. Thick creamy slightly oily palate.
