Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

A - Pours a nice black color, nice carbonation, nice brown/tan frothy head, tons of lacing afterwards. S - Scents of roasted malts, and coffee/chocolate. T - The taste is kinda sweet, malty, with some nice coffee/chocolate taste, kinda dry finish. M - Medium, a nice complex brew. D - Very drinkable for a big brew (12% ABV). Highly recommended.

Pour was solid black nice thick brown head. Nose chocolate, strong coffee, raisin, plum, cocoa powder, even caught a little blood...awesome? Flavor is hoppy, lots of coffee and chocolate. Nice alchohol warmth throughout the stages. Roboust hoppy charcole at first then settles down with the alchohol bringing out the coffee and caramel. So roasty very fun to drink. This is by far the best stout ive ever had. Im ordering another bottle to age!

750 ml bottle from Market of Choice. Last beer I drank in Oregon before flying back east, and did it ever ensure that that coast would need to do a lot to impress with its beer. Black and viscous like oil, this was so smooth going down that I didn’t even notice how fast I was drinking. There’s almost no alcohol taste either, which is astounding in something 12%. It’s beers like this one that make me wonder if I’m missing something by not drinking coffee.

750 ml bottle. Its been a while since I’ve had a beer infultrate my top ten. That wait is over. Pours black with a luscious brown head that lasted through mid-glass and left lots of sticky brown lace. Very pleasant aroma of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. The flavor is simply outstanding. Rich chocolate and coffee abound with some roasted malt also present. The mouthfeel is rich and smooth. Absolutely no hint of the 12% abv. I believe the word decadent applies very well to this beer. Superb!

750 at room temp. Oil black pour with similar viscosity (overstating a bit to be sure). Thin head with staying power on the edges and light lacing. Tons of smoke, chocolate and coffee in the nose, with obvious malt. Coffee dominates the flavor with a smoked chocolate finish, alcohol is very well masked, but it’s definitely there. Drank with a nice steak and it was phenomenal.
