COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

Pitch black with brown foam. The smell is shy and a little bit roasted. The taste is a nice mixture between mild viscosity, hot spiciness and a calm carbonation. Quite sweet and The topical range of taste: coffee caramel chocolate vanilla etc. The beer is awesome no question, but I find that the great beers In this style are not that different, even though this one is a bit spicier.

Black color with big tan head. Aroma of coffee, liquorice, vanilla. Taste of rich chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and spices towards the end. Nutty-earthy as well. So much in there. Hardly any booze. Just the right amount of sweetness. Feels dry and full at the same time. Extremely well-balanced and soothing. Wow.

Bomber into snifter glass, opaque deep dark brown color with dark tan head. Aroma notes of heavy roasted malt, smoke, dark coffee beans, dark chocolate, light peppery spice, dark fruit, licorice, light vanilla and some earthiness. Taste adds notes of milk chocolate, espresso, more plum/fig fruitiness, molasses, wood ash, some nuttiness and bitter earthy hops. Heavy body, low carbonation, creamy with long lingering coffee roast finish. All around excellent coffee RIS.

Pours opaque sable with a light tan head. Rich, sweet aroma has notes of molasses, roast malt, caramel and licorice. Flavor presents roast malt, molasses, caramel, and subtle chocolate and pepper notes. Drivin’ me wild! Viscous texture has some good fizz. One more beer off me bucket list.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2015 Deep black color. Heavy rich chocolate bitters slight bourbon tones but not actually bourbon. Burnt but coffee burnt. Had on tap and bottle. Both were equally good.

Draft at 2014 Yokohama Beer Fest. Inky black with a dark chocolate colored head. Aromas of roasted coffee, chocolate, malts, star anise and dark fruit as it progresses. Same tastes are present with the coffee and chocolate playing the star however as it comes to room temperature, fig, prunes, currant and dried apricot sneak in show themselves. Really complex and entertaining imperial stout.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2015 Enjoyed this beer last fall. Need to get it again. Pours black with a dark brown head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, licorice, dark fruits like Fig or plum, and more coffee. Very complex flavor layer after layer of coffee, chocolate, Fig, plum, licorice and more coffee. Very nice beer. One of the best I have ever had definitely in my top four. Is as thick as nyquil definitely have to sip this beer. Bottled at 12 percent ABV. And then condition so it?s probably closer to 14 percent. Little to no alcohol taste at all. Very nice beer, one of the best.
