Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

pours a large frothy light brown head that mostly diminishes. body is coffee black. aroma contains moderate malts (dark bread, hay, straw, toasted and raosted malts, some burnt malts, nuts, caramel, milk chocolate, strong coffee), moderate hops (flowers, spruce, orange and lemon), light yeasts (dough, leather) aqnd banana, grape, raisin, prune, apple, some tawny port, toffee, honey, licorice, cola, forest fruits and spices. Flavor is light acidic, then light acidic and sweet, followed by sweet, sweet and light bitter going to sweet and bitter and finishing in bitter. Body is medium to full with creamy texture and soft carbonation. very subtle, highly complex and perfectly balanced. One of the best in its kind I have tasted so far.

Boom. Big Bottle from giant eagle gahanna. Worth going back to get another. Solid black with head that rises with a good pour. Head is thinner than a Guinness. Coffee notes in the nose and harsh coffee balances by toffee and cocoa in first taste. Smooth and packs a surprising wallop at 12%. Would go out of my way to get. Wow. Well played.

A fantastic imperial stout! Very complex. Has coffee, chocolates, cognac, vanilla, all very neatly tied together. Loads of taste, but well-hidden alchohol.

Year aged. Pours black with minimal tan head. Nose is chocolate, dark fruits, bit if coffee, booze. Taste largely matches nose, dark chocolate, umami, dark fruits, coffee on the finish but not very bitter. Creamy, solid mouthfeel. Overall very good stout.

Bottled on 01.03.14. Poured into a tulip from a 25 oz bottle on 08.12.14. A: Chocolate. It also has a tiny bit of coffee. A: 1 finger tan head. Midnight black body with some red in the glass. T: Chocolate and cherry dominate. Plum, woodiness, coffee, and vanilla are subtle. P: Creamy smooth. Chewy enough. It goes down smooth for such a high ABV. O: The alcohol heat is definitely there. The coffee adds some nice roastiness without becoming overwhelming. In the end, the flavors were too subtle, which made drinking it somewhat boring.

Pours pitch black with a thin dark brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, caramel, dried cherry. Flavor is an excellent balance of sweet, bitter, roasty and coffee. Really big with hidden alcohol. As always excellent!
