Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

750 mL bottle FREE from pantanap! The guy clearly rocks beyond all comprehension. Pours a dark, dark brown, like Kahlua. No head. Aroma is very strong chocolate and coffee and has a nice roasted malt character. Palate is very smooth and very creamy. Maybe the thickest beer I’ve ever had. Taste is more coffee, more chocolate, and more roasted character.

Picked it up at AleSmith on my awesome trip out to San Diego. Pours a thick opaque black with a very thin tan head that quickly disappears. Nose of is heavy dark chocolate and a lot of coffee. I didn’t realize this beer was 12%, it was very easy to drink. Creamy mouthfeel. Tons of coffee and chocolate in the flavor as well. Great stuff....I need more.

Huge thanks for BMan113VR bringing this bad boy back from California. Body is totally opaque with a surprisingly light head that turns from brown tinged to almost white with a bit of brown dashes. Nose is total dark chocolate and fresh roasted coffe. At 12% this beer is scary with how drinkable it is. Amazing soft creamy velvet like mouthfeel. Taste is super warming and it feels like it coats your entire mouth. Unbelieveable!

Wow! Pours with a small, ultra creamy, light brown head with some great lacing. Pitch black body. Amazing aroma of coffee and chocolate. Tastes of morning fresh french roast. Perfect mouthfeel, ultra creamy and so easy to drink (even at 12%), just amazing, nice alcohol warming. Nice and sweet mocha plays with your taste buds.

Black pour, zero light penetration, Dark Tan head, 2 fingers deep. Very potent nose of COFFEE, Dark malts, and some alcohol. HUGE taste of coffee beans, bittersweet chocolate, almost overwhelming, yet balanced and smooth mouthfeel. I am in love with this beer, a stout lovers dream.

Poured like heavily used motor oil with large, lasting two finger tan head. Aroma was quite powerful, and evident even before the brew was poured. Nose of deep, foreboding roasted malts, powerful espresso, and hint of alcohol, and dark fruit. Huge flavors- this is one big charactered beer. Robust roasted malt, toasty bitter chocolate, and roasted coffee. Mouthfeel has a thick, oily character with some alcohol evident as well. So smooth, so well balanced, and so complex. A liquid poem.

Holy smokes, this is a great brew! Second only to the Kentucky Breakfast in my book. Dark and foreboding, this coffee laden stout hits the spot. Loads of dark strong coffee and chocolate both in the aroma and flavor make this a memorable brew. I loved it and wish I had access to this one .

With all due respect to Alesmith Brewery, i expected better, maybe because this is the first Imperial Stout that i drinked, but the flavor was quite dull to me, the body was black with a dark brown head, a coffee aroma, a caramel malt flavor, which was sweet and bitter at the same time. Maybe this is not my beer. Its not ordinary by any means.
