COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

Special Thanks to Gusler for this one, the positive beer karma around that guy is probably swirling like a cloud of fresh hops! Poured absolutely pitch black with very, very little carbonation and an oily like pattern of film residing on the top of the glass. Aroma is heavily roasted with chocolate malts and definite java notes. Also some distinctly rich notes of nuts, so rich in fact its like peanut butter. Slightly peppery leather also. Flavor starts off heavy with roasted flavors which subside for a time to rich chocolate notes. That rich nutty tone that I detected on the nose also comes into play in the middle part of the experience. It's a really intriguing nutty flavor too, something like a warm unsalted almond. The finish is distinctly dark roast coffee grounds. Mouthfeel is maybe a touch thin but is cool with a slick, oily sensation which I enjoyed. Overall feeling is that this is a tremendous brew worthy of much praise. I am thankful to have received it, and will be looking forward to the next time I have an opportunity to hoist one of these, Thanks Joe!

Bottle. This beer is just way too much, so upfront in all manners. Aroma roasted malts and coffee. Taste roasted malts and coffee, thick as engineoil, long lingering taste that goes on for ever. There´s such a lack of finesse in this beer. As I´m not a fan of the too much of everything approach, this beer leaves med cold, but sure a beer I´ll remember, but I don´t think I´ll try it again.

Pours as dark as your missus gets when you come home from the pub a couple hours later than expected (OK...6 hours). Yields a moderate tan head that dissipates quickly but laces well. Malty Roasty and earthy aromas alongside a sneak peek of the coffee. Covers the tongue with a luxurious lathering of awesome. Big Coffee, toast, burnt sugar/toffee and aniseed tasting notes with a hint of some stone fruit in the background and a generous whack of booziness which isn’t unwelcome. Roasty toasty lingers along with an espresso bitterness.

bottle @ Chief Market / Lima OH --- Opaque black color, full tan head, bands and streaks of lace. Taste is clean strong toasted malt that grows adding coffee and dark chocolate in the palate, moving smoothly from there to an already balanced finish. A huge delicious Imperial Stout. Perfect for sipping with friends.

Pours motor oil black with small tan head. Smooth and roasty. Chocolate and coffee with notes of vanilla. Bitter finish. Alcohol is masked well but hits you right away.
