COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stouts ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. Coffee, Inc. added to each batch brings out the beers dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stouts fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2013 Rating #420! Pours a jet black with a HUGE tan head that takes forever to dissipate. After opening and smelling the booziness of this beer I am maybe regretting trying to finish this 750ml myself. Definitely coffee and alcohol in the nose. The taste is amazing. I was expecting your typical harsh imperial stout taste but there is none of that. Just smooth coffee and malt flavor. Oh my this is smooth and dangerous. The mouth feel isn’t as thick as I would have expected but it doesn’t matter. The beer rolls around in your mouth like butter. Wow this is great! I can’t wait to taste my other bottles in a few months.

Bottle pour at home. Beer deserves high ratings - very good aroma, great lingering taste. Extremely well hidden 12% abv.

Near black inky pour with a khaki head. Aroma is dark and milk chocolate, coffee, caramel, and roast. Taste follows the nose. Layers of flavor. Full slick palate. Great stout.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with nice lasting brown head. Good lacing. Heavy Malty aroma, roasted, coffee, caramel, chocolate and liquorice. The flavours starts heavy sweet but turns heavy bitter. Longlasting bitterness and taste of coffee and liquorice with peppery notes. The body is full and the texture is creamy. Soft carbonation. Good balance. A super beer - so good.

Bottle at home. Three years old. Pours a black color with a small light brown head. Complex aroma of coffee beans, oak, caramel, hazel nuts, liquor, biscuit, dark chocolate and brown sugar. Roasted flavor with ash, coffee beans, dark chocolate, oak and cocoa. Soft and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a medium bitterness. Well-roasted ale and incredibly tasteful.

Probably the best non-barrel aged stout currently made. In an age of barrel aged stouts this one still hangs in there with the best of them.

Black. Very full body, dense flavor, smooth, not as hot as one should expect, avg length. Bittersweet, refreshing but mild acidity. Strong and complex flavors, prunes, cherries. Quite delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Black coloured with a large mocha head. Aroma of roasted barley, caramel, dried fruits, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and alcohol. Taste reflects the aroma, but less sweetness than I thought. Medium bodied. Medium bitterness. And low to medium carbonation. "Personally I prefer a bit more thickness and oily texture from a stout of this strength. Other than that its very tasteful, perfectly balanced, with high drinkability."

Bomber - dark pour with a tan head. Nice aroma of coffee and chocolate. Dark chocolate, vanilla, mocha. Silky smooth body. Very complex. This is an excellent beer.
