Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

FInally. Pours jet black with a foam tan head with good retenton. nose of roast. This races around the mouth with a solid body and plenty of roasty black coffee... Then chocolate rounds the curve. This one hits the finish line first like a Single Turbo Grand National at Englishtown Raceway. Fast and defiantly in first.

Enjoyed this beer last fall. Need to get it again. Pours black with a dark brown head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, licorice, dark fruits like Fig or plum, and more coffee. Very complex flavor layer after layer of coffee, chocolate, Fig, plum, licorice and more coffee. Very nice beer. One of the best I have ever had definitely in my top four. Is as thick as nyquil definitely have to sip this beer. Bottled at 12 percent ABV. And then condition so it’s probably closer to 14 percent. Little to no alcohol taste at all.

Intense aromas of black coffee, black licorice and black plum. Dark and rich, with an ultrasoft mouthfeel that opens with dark chocolate and mocha notes before evolving into black fruit notes of licorice, fig and plum, lingering on a well-balanced hop note. Finish lingers for minutes with all in balance. I cannot believe how smooth this is for the abv. A tremendous beer.

Pours black with large light brown head. Nose is roasted barley, coffee chocolate. Full bodied, creamy oily body with smooth carbonation. Deep delicious dark chocolate on the finish, lingering for a long time. Medium sweetness, light bitterness in the finish. Body is amazing, flavors a great, although very enjoyable beer.

Bottled 01/27/14. Pours a near black with a half finger, bubbly tan head that lasts forever. Aroma has big, smooth notes of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, and a slight bit of nuttyness. Taste is a strong bitter with smooth notes of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, milk chocolate, and an espresso bitter finish. Full body with a low carbonation. Soft carbonation with a semi dry finish. Overall a great coffee stout. Big, smooth flavours of dark chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. Would love a BA version.

Bottled 12 May 14. Pours pitch black with small coffee head. Strong roasted aromas with loads of dark chocolate and espresso, vanilla, a little leather and booze. The taste is great - heaps of dark chocolate and high quality espresso, with molasses, plums and dates, some vanilla and alcohol, light bitter finish. Full bodied. Very ’big’ imperial stout and quite impressive. I imagine this would benefit from some aging to round out some of the rough edges in the finish.

Bottle, cellared for just over two years. Appearance is jet black and completely opaque. A 1-2 finger frothy, foamy tan/light brown head which hangs around impressively. Aroma- rich, dense chocolate, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, treacle toffee, leather, some pipe smoke and tobacco, big, roast malt, vanilla hints even though it’s non-BA, maybe due to the age. Only the vaguest hint of alcohol is detectable. Smells luscious. Taste- just incredible. Loads and loads of dark chocolate and a huge coffee/espresso hit at the start. Despite the massive dark chocolatey bitterness, there’s also a sweetness- treacle toffee/vanilla undertones, a hint of boozy dark fruits, rich chocolate cake, and more coffee than you know what to do with. More chocolate emerges as it warms up. The mouthfeel is perfect- not quite as syrupy as the other big imperial stouts. It clings to the mouth in the most satisfying way possible, is oily and slick but has a hint of carbonation to help things along. Long, lingering finish which goes on forever, like drinking a sweet, syrupy espresso. Hardly any alcohol in there, but it gives you a nice warmth. Utterly amazing.
