COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout’s ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. Coffee, Inc. added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come.

Good average imperial stout. Smells like teen spirit. Recommendable and a good closure beer.

Bottle at home. Three years old. Pours a black color with a small light brown head. Complex aroma of coffee beans, oak, caramel, hazel nuts, liquor, biscuit, dark chocolate and brown sugar. Roasted flavor with ash, coffee beans, dark chocolate, oak and cocoa. Soft and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a medium bitterness. Well-roasted ale and incredibly tasteful.

Very good. Chocolate and sweet after a year in the basement. I didn’t taste much coffee. Good but not better than many other offerings.

Probably the best non-barrel aged stout currently made. In an age of barrel aged stouts this one still hangs in there with the best of them.

Black. Very full body, dense flavor, smooth, not as hot as one should expect, avg length. Bittersweet, refreshing but mild acidity. Strong and complex flavors, prunes, cherries. Quite delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Black coloured with a large mocha head. Aroma of roasted barley, caramel, dried fruits, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and alcohol. Taste reflects the aroma, but less sweetness than I thought. Medium bodied. Medium bitterness. And low to medium carbonation. "Personally I prefer a bit more thickness and oily texture from a stout of this strength. Other than that its very tasteful, perfectly balanced, with high drinkability."

Bomber - dark pour with a tan head. Nice aroma of coffee and chocolate. Dark chocolate, vanilla, mocha. Silky smooth body. Very complex. This is an excellent beer.

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Black body with a thick tan head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of espresso, raisin, chocolate ice-cream, caramel and liquorice. Flavour of roasted barley, nuts, charred wood, plum, creamy chocolate and a hint of coconut and hops. Medium body with a silky smooth texture. Soft fizz. Luxurious and outrageously drinkable. A sensational beer that lives up to the hype.

Bottle shared with the bro. Pours a dark black with a dark brown head which fades. Aromas of coffee beans, raisins, roasted malts plums and sweet caramel. Flavour is mild bitter dark chocolate, caramel and coffee. Slight bitterness but unbelievably smooth with very little alcohol burn! Incredible beer.

Aroma av lakris, røstet malt, mørk sjokolade. Smak av lakris, mørk sjokolade, karamell, mørk frukt og røstet malt. Tykk og mørk. Fint balansert og ganske lett å drikke!
