COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

Jet black with a tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Silky smooth with a warm alcohol finish. Taste of coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts, caramel. This is so velvety and complex I cannot possibly give it’s proper due. This is THE impy stout that all others should bow down to.

Famous West-Coast imperial stout with actually added coffee powder (so a true coffee stout as well). Pretty thick, dense, creamy, pinkish beige head, colour black with a ruby hue only visible under bright light, clear. Very tempting, elegant and complex aroma of coffee beans, citrussy hops, toffee, sweet tobacco, soy sauce, cinnamon, liquorice, sage, vanilla, meat broth, elderberries... Soft and smooth palate with loads of candied fruits, very oily and mouth-filling, silky, clear coffee powder but beautifully blended into a very rich and profound, complex dark maltiness, roasted bitterness in the end with leafy and citrussy hop bitterness, very long, rich, dry and enormously satisfying. I can easily see why this scores so high on this site, this is easily one of the best imperials I ever tasted. Thanks to Lieven from the Velootje pub in Ghent for sharing this with me, this will remain stuck in my beer memory forever.

Pours black, like old motor oil, with a thick, beige head. Aromas are dark chocolate, gypsum, coffee and licorice. Flavors are dark chocolate, vanilla, molasses, raisin. and coffee. Finishes with a lingering licorice-molasses bite and big booziness. Creamy-syrupy mouthfeel. This is a huge, huge beer. Lots of complexities. Very decadent.
