Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

Finally tried this beer poured from a large bottle purchased in San Diego into a small beer-tasting glass. The beer had a thick, syrupy, viscous black body with an average-sized, creamy, dark tan had with tons of cling, great lacing and good retention. The beer had a strong coffee hops aroma with roasty chocolate and caramel malt notes, along with a lighter earthy and grainy hops blend with touches of molasses. Its taste had a rich malty coffee effect with a light sweetness, and a mostly-bitter after-effect with a presence of alcohol and touches of roasted chocolate and caramel. The body had a syrupy texture and was very thick with a filling mouthfeel, low carbonation, and was quite intense and dense with a heavy body. Great beer, shared over Colonia Nights.

On tap at Saraveza in Portland OR. Poured into a Belgium sniffer. Pours black with a thin mocha head. Could smell chocolate and light smell of coffee. Very smooth...tastes of dark chocolate and slightly of coffee.

Bomber, poured into a snifter at room temperature. A: Pours a viscous black, forming a thick ecru head that leaves lacing even as it dies to a cap and thick ring. The iPhone flashlight test reveal no light at all getting through, save at the very top edge of the beer, where the color turns a murky dark brown at the very edge of the liquid. No complaints about lacing during consumption - there’s plenty, and it’s sticky. S: Medium roast coffee strikes out of the glass straightaway, as fragrant as if it were freshly brewed. Beneath it, notes of a deep, dark roasted malt swirl about, alongside some hints of bitter dark chocolate and a vague nuttiness. T: Coffee stout indeed, as those notes are again at the forefront, a medium roasted blend. The black-burned malts are there as well, a charred bitterness to them, with notes of scorched toffee and seared caramel alongside. Vague, ephemeral suggestions of dark cocoa and figgy fruit waft through the flavor profile here and there, and it finishes with a dark, deeply bitter, tongue-biting earth and ash bitterness that lingers long after the swallow. M: As if drinking heavy whipping cream straight from the carton, this is a full, silky stout. O: Not a bad coffee imperial stout at all. Definitely one of the better balanced versions I’ve had, if still a bit heavy-handed on the hop side for my personal taste. In a style-neutral comparison, I’d take the AleSmith Wee Heavy over this any day of the week and twice on any day ending with a Y, but this is far from a bad beer.

On tap at the tipsy cow in madison. Dark brown with minimal tan head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. This beer is big and roasted. Flavor full of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and more roast. Smooth and slightly warming. Finished with a roasted dryness and a long lingering roasted coffee flavor that never falls into cold weak coffee territory. I think the alcohol and bakers chocolate flavors keep from just being the all to common stout with weak coffee aftertaste beer. I really enjoyed this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Efficace. Goût prononcé de torréfaction et café. Le houblon cherche à sortir en finale. À boire au complet en 2h pour apprécier les saveurs.

Amazing beer. Slightly smokey and chocolate taste that leaves a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Aroma of roasted coffee.

Bottle share at Mermaid Juice! Big beautiful black bomber. Great beer, but it didn’t quite reach the Hunahpu they cracked afterwards.

Bottle - 750ml. Pour an opaque black body with very low carbonation and a thick, lasting brown foamy/creamy head. Wonderful, rich, complex malty/hoppy aroma with chocolate, vanilla, and coffeeish hints. Alcohol is perfectly hidden. Its fantastic, perfectly balanced taste carries roasted coffee, cocoa, licorice, and oaky notes. Texture is soft. Ends with a long, robust, warming bitter/roasty finish. First class!

Flaska@Akkurat. Kolsvart vätska med dofter av choklad, tobak och kaffebönor. Brödig och lite sötsyrlig röda bär-smak. Fyllig munkänsla med hög eldighet.
