COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stoutís ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. Coffee, Inc. added to each batch brings out the beerís dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stoutís fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come.

Yields a slick viscous black color, with a unique, very bubbly mohagony head. Smells big times of cocoa, fudge and coffee, wrapped up by syrup and toffeeish malts. Has a whiff of alcohol underneath, providing a caramel burn. The aromas exhibit an interesting interplay between milk chocolate and coffee, leaning even more on chocolate. Has a fitting, lower carbonation, complimenting the beers medium body. Tastes of bakers chocolate and smooth coffee, accompanied by bready malts, also revealing glazed caramel. Drinks throughout smooth, coffee comes along with lots of cream, adding a dry bitterness, which gets countered by alcoholic, biting molasses. Finishes with a well pronounced boiled coffee bitterness, while chocolate adds depth, including a subtle sourness. The beers convinces by its smooth coffee mouthfeel, which gets a lot of depth, due to the luscious chocolate, commuting between sweet and dry. The beers finish is unusually long and complex, revealing crushed coffee beans, toffee, mousse au chocolate among a coffee milk sourness.

Jet black and opaque pour with one half inch tan brown head. Smells of chocolate French roast and some anise. Flavor is exactly what is expected from aroma. Finishes with dark roast lingering on.

I was expecting one of the greatest imperial stouts, but the fact was that my expectations ware too high. Anyway for my point of view is mix of imperial stout and quadruple. Pitch black head. Aroma has loads of coffee, a llittle Chocolate, roasty malts, dark fruits among figs. Taste is rather sweet and turns roasty. with lots of dried fruits. Body is really soft. Finish is slight dry with coffee and dark. No presence of the ABV at all.

Pours jet black with a nominal head, aroma of coffee and booze. Taste is Coffee, chocolate, sweet, malt and booze as it warms. This beer for is amazing. Right up there with Brooklyn chocolate stout as one of my favorites of this style. Mouth feel is creamy and full. Nothing bad to day about this brew. A must try for anyone who likes this style.

750ml bottle shared with Jo and Seb. Aroma: coffee, roasted malt, vanilla a bit. App: pitch dark, small brown frothy head, some lacing. Taste and palate : smooth.. Really smooth full body, medium sweetness, soft carbonation, light bitterness and sweet finish. Overall: this is the definitely the best coffee stout Iíve had so far. So smooth. Not too sure what I can say wrong about this beer.
