4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
This beer was awesome. I had a ton of it and Alesmith release and it got better with each sample. It smells like classic speedway with a slight coconut and mild vanilla. The marraige of the coconut and the vanilla was flawless and really made this beer superb. I even went as far as to put 1 oz of BA Speedway into 3 oz of the coco vanilla speedway and it just about did me in. Excellent

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Alesmith release - I actually got the last sample poured. This was very good, but I was expecting more coconut and vanilla. It had the same great Speedway appearance and finish. I think I liked it the best of the three special tap releases that day. Good stuff!

Sample at the brewery. Rating #5. Nice treatment on the Speedway. I really didnít pick up a lot of the coconut, but the vanilla added a nice subtle sweetness to balance the coffee, real nice. (1766)

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sample at the BA Speedway and Decadence release. This was an amazing offering. Pours a deep coffee brown, fairly viscous with a creamy beige head, nice lacing. Tons of coconut in the nose as well as vanilla, coffee and burnt malts. Not quite as much coconut on the palate which was a good thing, might have made the brew a bit to cloying.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: NOV 14, 2011 Sample at the BA Speedway release. Pitch black with a tan head, pretty standard. Milk chocolate, toasted coconut, real vanilla bean, dark chocolate, balanced by a very nice slight roasty coffee. Itís tastes like those nice dark chocolate coconut balls while enjoying a good cup of espresso. Excellent dessert beer, wish I could have had more.

Tap at OíBriens. Pitch black pour, tan head. Milk chocolate, nuts, delicious coffee blend, mmmm roasted coconut, light hint of vanilla. The flavors work so well together, smooth and completely covering up the alcohol. Amazing beer, one of my favorites.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On draft at the BA Speedway release. Dark black pour with small tan head. This stuff was much less roasty than the regular batch, however the vanilla and the toasted coconut made it very smooth and tasty.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2012 Sample (thanks to a friend at the release, I missed the samples they were pouring earlier in the day). Pours with a pitch black and viscous body with a small tan head. Some mild lace, okay retention. Aromas of coconut (as stated) that reminds me a bit of medium toast french oak, coffee, vanilla (not too sweet), dark roast, chocolate, richness and alcohol. A bit of a lactose note. Rich flavors: coconut and vanilla cocooned by the rich chocolate and coffee notes (and alcohol). Minimal bitterness, but the beer is not cloying. Smooth, lightly warming (mellow, but you can feel it in your stomach), velvety texture. Amazing, wish I could have gotten a full sample (or two, or three...).
Fuller sample at the Full Pint Anniversary event. Murky near black hue, very slight brown head. Aromas are straight almond joy, huge chocolate fudge and vanilla. Otherwise pretty clean. Flavors are of vanilla, mild bitterness, coconut, cocoa, banana and lots of chocolate. Booze is under control. Silky mouthfeel. Really excellent. At a 4.3 I am still probably under-rating it.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap @ Oíbrienís Night of a Million Zillion Speedways. The appearance is identical to the regular version, except maybe a slightly smaller head. Aroma is regular Speedway with a bunch of coconut. The flavor is like an almond joy, lots of coconut to go with the chocolaty goodness. Mouth feel is a bit oily compared to stock Speedway. Another damn good beer, my wifes favorite of the bunch.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Served on tap at Oíbrienís Night of a Million Zillion Speedways. Was able to get two samples of this one. The appearance is the usual Speedway deep black hue with a medium roasty brown head. The aromas took some swirling to really come out but once unleashed the warm roasted coconut exploded out of the glass. The flavors are just as great. Crazy warm coconut milk, and toasted coconut flakes. They must of used a tone of coconut here. The coffee flavors are also really nice in here (or just stuck on my tongue). Very sweet but naturally sweet and well integrated. Creamy and smooth mouth, and very easy to go down. Another fantastic Speedway and again I hope they continue to make this gem.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
1st rating of this brew, and first tick in a long time for me. Tried this today at Obrienís amidst a sea of people and an unseasonably hot November evening. This seems to be everyoneís favorite from this new speedway styled flight. I really liked this and Iím not a coconut fanatic like some people. Pours black with a lighter whiter head than Iím used to with speedway. Nose is big on the coconut, very very appealing. The taste is fantastic, its like speedway with coconut, the fact that coconut is toasted is also quite evident. YUM.
