4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared with friends after the 4th. Snifters. Pours a dark brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma is fruity (plums, raisins, over-ripe apricots), bread, doughnut, dark sugars, molasses, and spices. The taste was similar with the fruits and spices pairing well with the alcohol finish. Full body, oily and creamy texture. Light carbonation. Really a full flavored, fresh Wee Heavy. Lots of barrel as well.

Thanks a lot Jaghana!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
It pours dark with a plum hue when the light penetrates it. It has a healthy brown head. It has aromas of molasses, dark fruits, a bit of chocolate, and roasted elements. The first thing that hit me were the smoky flavors mixed with chocolate. There are also hints of dried fruits in the plum range with substantial warming on the way down. This one was saved for a special day and it was well worth the wait.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a small foamy beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was woody, nutty, a bit toasty and had vague dark fruits and cola. The flavor was woody, nutty, toasty, a bit smoky and had notes of cola, fig, cherry and a boozy presence. Long finish with lingering booziness. Moderately full bodied. The booziness detracts from this one. Interesting.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A dark brown beer with a dense, medium and beige head. The nose is rich and it has strong dried fruits, raisins and dates, berries, strawberries, madeira wine, some alcohol and cold peppermint, hint of roastiness. Very complex aroma that is fresh despites of the richness. Taste has rich maltyness, dried fruits, raisins, strawberries, some dryer roastiness and bread. Medium bitterness dries the taste nicely. No alcohol. Almost full bodied, some carbonation, not too heavy. A very complex and rich flavours, powerfull, fresh anyway.
