COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Scottish-inspired deep mahogany-colored ale showcases a rich, malty flavor profile of caramel and toffee offset by hints of roast and subtle smoke. The complex malty sweetness includes notes of dark fruit balanced by a subdued hop bitterness. Wee Heavy is incredibly nuanced and in a class of its own in terms of balance and sophistication. It ages very well and will keep improving for years to come.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, spicy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20090327]

From cask at the brewery. Pours clear and deep golden amber with a light tan head. Dense burbon malty and alcohol aroma, subdued fruity note. Dense caramel flavour and fruity. Light metallic note and slight yeasty touch. Lingering fruity and hoppy flavour with a nicely balanced yet dense caramely flavour. Sweet and fruity finish.

A brown beer with a small disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of alcohol and oranges. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate and coffe, while the alcohol burns slightly in the throat while You sip this nice beer. Quite strong for a Scotch Ale - more like a Barley Wine.

(Bottle 75 cl) Beautiful, dark mahogany with a small, off-white head. Extremely malty aroma with loads of dried fruits. Very full body again with tons of roasted malt and dried fruits - raisins and prunes in particular. Markedly sweet. A lovely, rich and wholesome brew. 160106

Bottled (thanks stoutlover72). Dark ambery brown colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head. Quite big maltyness along with some toffee and alcohol. Quite strong on the chocolate and nuttynesss as well. Flavour is quite much the same in a very fullbodied way. The alcohol is a bit too strong even though this has been kept since I got it in 2006.
