AleSmith X Extra Pale Ale is a clean, light-colored, light-bodied ale. The People’s Choice award winner at the 2000 San Diego Real Ale Festival and the second runner-up in 2001, it has a good dose of dry hops balanced by a gentle sweetness, giving an almost sweet-and-sour effect. Appearance: Light golden color, and a nice white head, with good retention when properly served. Flavor: Starts off with almost tingling flavors of citrus and pine, balanced by a nice malty sweetness, then fades to a dry finish with a lingering hoppiness. Aroma: Strong lemony-citrusy character, with sweet malt and pine in the background. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Smooth, light-bodied.

Malty hit followed by herbal/fruity hops - light bodied, smooth and easy - mildly bitter - kinda like a really tasty English style bitter due to the sweet biscuit malt dominance but got that great West Coast hoppiness - which makes me very hoppy... er, I mean happy.

A golden ipa with a thick frothy and lacing white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with floral hops, with light sulfur notes, citrusy, nice. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt with floral hops, grapefruit pulp, restrained, well done but not a hop bomb.
