3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Thorpe429 (3542) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Bottle courtesy of daysinthewake. Served in a Mikasa tulip on International IPA Day 2011.
Pours a slightly-hazed light apricot color with a good white head and some light spotty lacing on the edges of the glass. The nose brings some light citrus and a touch of light grain. Pretty good, but nothing too over the top. The flavor puts of mild citrus in terms of hop flavor, though not too much bitterness. Light body with good carbonation and a slightly-dry finish. Pretty good, but not as good as the rest of AleSmith’s offerings.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dmac (2509) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JUL 28, 2011
Bomber shared by pineypower. Poured a golden body with a smaller foamy white head. Aroma of apricot, peach, mango, tropical fruits, wet grahmn crackers and dough. The body is a little thin with soft carbonation and a quick fading aftertaste. The flavor drops off from the aroma most of the tropical fruits drop off and more of a grainy breast flavor is there along with some citrus rind. Decent but don’t drink Parabola followed up by an APA.

On draft at The Publick House in temecula. Pours mid yellow with hints of fruit that drive to a malt sensation which enevlopes a very good bitter hop driven finish.

Bottle. 22 oz. Split with Tom. Pours cloudy straw yellow with a major, fluffy white head. Aroma of soft vanilla, cotton dryer sheets, honey, hay wheat, and some saltine. Fuller bodied with a dry, clean palate. Smooth and arid. Flavors of pine hops, creamy malts, and some lovely citrus notes. Finishes crisp and dry. Great.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 wedgie9 (1355) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 12, 2011
Tasted on 7/12/11 from a 22oz bomber bottle, I don’t see a date on the bottle anywhere, but this was just sent to me in a trade. Pours hazy dark yellow with a thick and rocky white head that slowly recedes to rocky lace, leaving thick residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is floral, grassy, citrus, and pine resin hops, all very delicate and balanced, along with some sweet caramel maltiness backing everything up. The flavor is more of the same with the lightly sweet caramel and cereal malt up front, moving to the very nicely balanced hop profile that ranges from lemon citrus, to pine resin, fresh cut grass, and even a hint of white peppercorn, finishing very dry. The body is light with average carbonation and a long citrus and pine resin pleasantly bitter finish.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 soyorganic (241) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 12, 2011
High carbonation is the first thing I noticed. I didn’t get much in the taste besides that and a slight hop taste. Nevertheless, and nice tasting beer.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 maneliquor (1005) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 10, 2011
Bottle. Pours a pale amber with a small white head. Nice aroma. Lots of citrus cutting through a decent amount of hops. Hop balance with the citrus and caramel malts is very good. Great APA
