Bottle Pours a clear very light golden with a very thick dense fluffy white head. Faint light aromsa of light grains and slight sweetness, honey maybe. Unfiltered cereal flavors with a papery aftertaste. Light on the hops and thic but clean feel. Refreshing and easy to put down.

Shiny golden body with gentle carbonation and a uniform, pure white head. Aroma of geranium, mango, honeysuckle, lemon zest, and a hint of cat pee. Semi-dry, hoppy flavor with floral and fruity qualities and mild cattiness. Medium bitterness with a juicy but drying finish. Pleasing and refreshing hop-centered ale. Thanks DarkElf.

Clear defined hops in the aroma, although they are less defined in the flavor. Low malt, not sweet, good balance. Definitely a pale but a good one. It is unusual that an Alesmith beer is so modest, but it sticks to the usual balanced recipes they come up with.

From Jonathan, thanks, Aroma of pine and citrus, a lot of lemon. Poured a hazy golden. Tasted sweet and lemony, lots of hops but in a good way. Palate was light and clean but tail seemed to leave an imprint. Overall not too bad.

Aroma of lemon and pine. Hoppy taste with a bitter, harsh end. Good beer at the outset. Aftertaste is a bit difficult after a while.

gracias firemoose15 for sharing, poured a very cloudy light gold, almost the color of a ripe bartlett pear, sweet pine and citrus nose, lots of lemon, lots of candi-sugar. flavors are smooth, pine, malts in the background behind a huge hop profile. the body is lite and crisp, but the residual flavor is kind of harsh and metallic. with a little better balance this would have been better, but the aftertaste turned me off quite a bit.

Poured a clear effervescent golden with a large fizzy white head which left a sparse lacing on the glass. Clean, though mild, hop aroma with a touch of lemon. Taste is very smooth light, crisp hops with a thin malt backbone. Good body. Overall, this beer struck me as well-crafted but surprisingly light in flavor. "When Alesmith brews a beer, they don’t fool around," so says Liquid Solutions owner Matt Maples... However, it was clear he wasn’t talking about Alesmith X. Could’ve been a lot fuller. Good for what the brewer intended, but seemed unambitious.

Bottle. Hazy amber with a big off-white head. Citrus hop aroma with some sweet malt underneath. Balanced malt/hop flavor - citrus hops with some chocolate/caramel malt flavors. Lighter bodied and easy drinking.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 shadey (1756) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 30, 2005
Hazy yellow with soap ring around the edge. Lacing. Aroma is mellon. Enticing. Flavor is woody, oaky. With evidence of hops. Full body. My favorite alesmith so far.

Bottle: Pale golden, slightly hazy, large white foamy head, lattice like lacing, little to no carbonation.   Dried hop aroma, very slight pine.   Nice hop bite up front, bitterness lingers throughout til the finish.   Slight malty base, a touch sweet.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Crisp finish, fairly strong, yet smooth, bitterness lingers.   Enjoyable.
