An unclear orange beer with a fine beige head. The aroma has hops all over - a great aroma. The flavor is sweet malty with loads of hops both aroma and bitter hops as well as notes of grass. The end is dry and bitter. Really a nice beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (22946) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2006
(Bottle 65 cl) Pours a hazy orangey golden with a creamy, off-white head. Surprisingly subdued hop aroma. Very full body with lots of caramel malt and a high residual sweetness. Marked hoppy finish, but it’s a somewhat muddy hop profile leaving a somewhat confusing impression. Some alcohol in the finish, herbal cough syrup like. Honestly this was a disappointment, but thanks heaps to sk8viking for sharing nonetheless. 220406

22 fl oz bottle thanks to Hildigöltur and Ungstrup for allowing us to open this :). Pours almost clear and golden orange with a diminished white head. Spiced and orange fruity to light citrusy aroma. Light breadish and liqourice hops flavoured with a solid bitterness. Dried fruity yet not raisin sweet as the flavour remains rather dry. Dry and lasting bitter into the far finish.

Bottled. Hazy amber. Intense grapefruit aroma. Fairly sweet with firm, rounded maltiness. Enormously hoppy. Salty, very bitter finish. Die hard brutal hop juice with a fair amount of alcohol...

Bought 6 months ago at Papago, Phoenix It pours a cloudy deep blond color, with generous, creamy head. Medium hop aroma, a bit puckery, delicate mix of citrus fruits. Good body, smooth mouthfeel; strong caramel and toffee flavor, with enough residual sweetness for my liking; the bitterness is strong, of good quality, without exceeding on the resiny or fruity side. Strong and long final, chewy too. Maybe not fresh, but very good.
