4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bought 6 months ago at Papago, Phoenix
It pours a cloudy deep blond color, with generous, creamy head. Medium hop aroma, a bit puckery, delicate mix of citrus fruits. Good body, smooth mouthfeel; strong caramel and toffee flavor, with enough residual sweetness for my liking; the bitterness is strong, of good quality, without exceeding on the resiny or fruity side. Strong and long final, chewy too. Maybe not fresh, but very good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 22oz, at Mikkeller. It’s an almost clear one, dark golden in color and topped by a two-finger white head leaving some lacings. Fruityness, pine cones, peppery hints, a whiff of alcohol and a sweetish maltyness in the aroma. The flavor has sweetness and hoppyness well blended, with resin, fruityness, some alcohol and a nice bitterness. Full body, nice carbonation and some warmth. Lasting bitterness with pine cones. Nice. 110528

Bottled as "YuleSmith Holiday Ale" (Vasa session).
Hazy orange color, huge off-white head. Strong nose of mango, rye, berries and bread. Bitter, fruity, toffee, malty flavor. There is some cracker maltyness and citrusy notes. Drinkability is nice. Could be more complex and bottle could be more fresh, but overall quite good DIPA.
