4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 zimbo (334) - - FEB 1, 2013Bomber split with my good beer buddy ’Wild Thing’.
Beautiful deep orange with a firm thick top of rocky white foam. Heady aroma of citrus. Nice dominanct bitter burr. Superb backbone which is angular I firm but well balanced with marmaled fruit and extra orange peel. Bitterness is superbly integrated making a suoer integrated whole.

Pours amber with a white head. Good retention. Grapefruit, citrus, pine, some sweetness and a lingering bitterness at the finish. Very nice.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Hair6a11 (1163) - Illinois, USA - JUN 17, 2013
No, I think this is easily a fantastic IPA in virtually every sense. It pours clear medium gold with an average white head in this glass. Retention is above average, with some spotting present here. The hop presence on the nose is robust; it’s spicy, piney, bread, grapefruit rind, and tangerine comes through. The flavor profile is initial bittering hops; resinous piney, and light spicing. It moves to cream, caramel, sweet bread, with a lingering and vibrant hop note near the finish. Yes, a terrific, albeit slightly dating presentation of a california ipa.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nuffield (3362) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUN 16, 2013
This got better as it warmed, although not *much* better. The front was floral, candy, and lightly like fresh plastic. The flavor was reasonably robust but still not extraordinary. A good IPA but the shine long ago left Alesmith as a top notch (like, top 5) brewer in the USA, much less the world. Bottle.

Amazing IPA super hoppy smooth intense, on tap in Claremont california, one of the top San Diego beers
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Prufrockstar (224) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 12, 2013
Bomber, bottled 5/21/2013 and consumed 6/12/2013. Aroma: bread, caramel, citrus, pine. Snappy, almost spicy orange hidden in there. Pours clear light amber with 2 fingers of white, dense, creamy head that sticks around. Taste is moderately sweet start, full bitter flourish in the middle, giving way to alcohol and a lingering caramel bitter-sweet symphony. Medium-full body, average carbonation, smooth, almost creamy texture. Were it not for the moments of harsh alcohol notes in the taste, this would be pretty magical.
5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 thetmaxx (673) - West Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Poured from the bottle into the wrong glass, turns out this glass had been sitting around. Anyways. Aroma is very citrusy and some dank qualities. Fantastic. Flavor is bitter but well balanced. Palate is medium body with a oily finish. Amazing. Ale Smith never disappoints. Very clear and thick head. Paired nicely with a buritto and chips and salsa.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2013 On tap at city beer. Pours copper with white head. Taste is earthy hops with a slight citrus.
5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 slitcher (264) - Freeport, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Yes, a perfect 5. I can find no faults with this beer...great appearance, aroma and body and a perfect balance. Nice bitter finish, not too sweet and the alcohol is well hidden.
4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 Bule (230) - California, USA - JUN 8, 2013
22oz bottle pours a golden color with thick foamy head. For the level of alcohol and hops in this beer, it is just so easy going. No harsh flavors from the hops. Just so well balanced. My favorite double IPA.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 ryanscourt (301) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Had this one a few times and found it to be good but not excellent. Defintly has one of the hop varieties that they are playing up. Fairly piny and somewhat bitter. Nice bite and good flavor. Reinforced my prior opinion...good not great.
