COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
During the summer, YuleSmith is transformed into a big, hoppy, Double IPA. The enormous load of hops requires a substantial malt background to create just the right balance for a Double IPA. Lighter in color, summer YuleSmith is available around the 4th of July and is packaged in a red, white, and blue bottle. For the winter season, YuleSmith is brewed as an Imperial Red Ale. This version is maltier, more balanced, and darker in color than the summer version. Although quite malty, big hop flavors and aromas are abundant making this an unforgettable winter warmer. Winter YuleSmith is packaged in traditional holiday red and green.

Amber/red with a huuuge kinda white head. Citrusy aroma, caramel, spices. Taste is caramel, raisins and some chocolate, very malty and very hoppy. Finishes a little bit dry and very bitter.

0.65l bottle. Oh, I have been looking forward to this! Ever since I tried the Summer version I’ve been trying to get a hold on this one, and all of a sudden it showed up, completely surprising at my local Vinmonopol. In the glass this is a crystal clear lovely deep ruby amber colored one with a medium sized really lingering dark khaki top that’s leaving some serious lacings down the glass. Not much to hold back on the looks really. Love the aroma. Super sticky, fruit, sweet and malty. There’s nuts and figs, those sweet red small plums, lost or sweet raisins and some red fruits. So much aroma and it’s just getting stronger and more powerful after a while in the glass. Lovely. Not much to say on the taste either. It has a thick oily feeling in the mouth while the carbonation is just above average and a little prickling. Really malty big flavors here. Lots of red sweet fruits with strong nutty tones like the way. No alcohol noted at all her, just some faint spicy tones dancing in the back. Ends really peppery with a nice hoppy stingy burp. A lovely sipper that I want to stock up on. Nice! 06.01.2014

Color caoba con espuma marfil densa. Aromas de pino, resinas, toffe, caramelo y ligero cafe. Cuerpo medio, inicio dulce de tigre y caramelo, equilibrado con un amargor intenso, seco y resinoso. Muy rica.

660 ml bottle, brewed on 07/26/2013
Copper-reddish clear beer with big blonde head leaving lacing on the glass. Aroma is heavily sweet with caramelly malts, dark bready malts, piney hops and some spiciness. Flavor has sweet caramel, salty licorice and piney hops plus some wood. Palate is full and soft. Finishes with a smoothly fading bitterness, leaving licoricy aftertaste with heat of alcohol. Maybe this would be better in fresher form, but good for slow sipping.

At Zeebra Beer Festival, THX to everybody sharing today’s beers. APPEARANCE: clear dark blond beer, small stable off white head. NOSE: hoppy, fruity, florar, nice. TASTE: hoppy, rather sweet, little caramel, decent overall, but liked the nose more.

Despite the promise of the description, it’s quite a forgettable beer. Just a strong red ale, with some artificial fruits. Meh.

Bottle. Unclear copper body, creamy white head. Tropical aroma with vanilla, pine, toffee. Taste adds honey to the toffee and tropical hops, and a slightly spicy twist. Clear presence of bitterness even though it has a thick sweet palate. Sharp hoppy finish with a lasting warm aftertaste. This is a tremendous christmas beer.
