An Imperial Porter brewed with a Haitian sugar called Rapadou. Rapadou is a traditionally processed cane sugar that lends a great toffee caramel flavor to our 8.5% ABV Porter. Watch for this one aged in oak barrels in the future. Limited edition of 2007 bottles.

Bottle. Black with almost no head. Nose is toffee and burnt caramel. Taste adds some marshmallow and soy sauce. Palate is nice and round and full. Sweet and just savory enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thick properly dark brown body with thick legs, viscous lacing and a oily texture, underneath a tan to dark tan head. Strange starchy, spicy bread in the nose, with strong notes of toffee and caramel. Moderately thick texture, surprisingly thick, actually, with a hefty dose of chocolate, toffee, coffee grounds, spiced wood? Very strange but very good – quite different I think than anything I’ve had before. Resembles a foreign stout with the level or roast combined with exotic spices and coffee and such.
