2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle (no date but purchased yesterday) served in a lager glass.
Pours apricot-amber in color, hazy and with plenty of sediment in suspension. It looks much better at the top where it is crowned by a tall, creamy head that has excellent retention and leaves the glass well coated with lacing.
Aroma: too musty and earthy, although some of this no doubt comes from the hops.
Flavor: better than the nose, with a mildly bitter balance although slightly sweeter than usual for this style. Fruity with sweet and bready grains underneath.
Feel: soft and smooth with medium carbonation.
O: fresh? doubtful .. will try to re-visit.

A bit light, skunky, dry. Some crispness with a decent hops finish. Some earthiness, grass, nutty malt, but missing something.

July 2010 from bottle. A nice pale ale without being impressive. Just a middle of the road ale that does serve a purpose. Good as an everyday beer.
