Growler... Pours crystal clear and a lovely shade of copper. The bouquet offers toasty notes, caramel, brown sugar and a spice-rack full of winter goodies. Medium-bodied and thin with dancing carbonation. The flavor is biscuity and toasty with undercurrents of crunchy malts, sweet caramel and winter spices. Malty, spicy finish. Growler courtesy of darkguardian!

Draft at DoG Street Pub. Solid red beer. Drinks with nice holiday spice, nutmeg and cinnamon all the way. Exceptionally well balanced and delivered with finesse. I’m not a fan of spiced beers, but this was a nice warmer on a cold day. (#5404, 1/4/2013)

Butters (3990) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - DEC 12, 2013
Sampled on draft at the brewery. Bright clear amber pour with good khaki head. Hints of cinnamon and and ginger with just a touch vegetal on the nose. Flavor is kinda like gingerbread and pumpkin ale mixed together with notes of caramel and honey. They were billing it as a "spiced brown ale". Pretty sessionable too. Good stuff.
