2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at a royal oak...figured what the heck. Clear amber with a nice white head. Served cold so that helped (got worse as it warmed up) but I did actually get some faint citrus and a fair amount of orange and then of course a bit of the musty caramel malt / marco smell that I have come to expect. High carbonation, mild body, slighly bitter but goes does somewhat easily with an off taste at the end.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle sample @ Edmonton Craft Beer Festival. Brassy gold, average white head. Cereal malt aroma with just a hint of hops. The palate reflects this, and although the pale malts are clean here, the hop presence is measurable in the parts-per-million scale. as an IPA it is a joke. As a mildly hopped ale, it is serviceable. But I’m not sure who they are trying to please here.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
The closest to an IPA that Keith’s may ever achieve. (Chortle Chortle). 2oz sample from ABI rep. Clear, amber coloured pour with a weak white head that bubbles away quickly. Aroma is floral, citrusy. Mouthfeel is extremely dry, taste is caramel, hint of citrus, and a flood of Cascade hops that seem to overwhelm most APAs. This didn’t impress me, was much too dry, weakly carbonated. An ok introduction to the hop uninitiated.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear copper with little white head that falls quickly and little lacing. Aroma of caramelised grapefuits, light piney notes. Taste has some grapefruits, spicy hops, caramel, light pine, low to medium bitterness. Low body and medium carb. This is more and IPA than their flagship beer that names itself as an IPA. Definitly better than expected but nothing to go crazy for.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
473 mL can. Pours clear orange-gold with small white head that does not last long. Aroma of orange, citrus and piny floral characteristic of cascade hops. Tastes light maybe a strong presence of corn. Quite some carbonation, a watery IPA.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Transparent golden pour, thin head, zero lacing. Malty hoppish nose, trying but failing. Not much going on for taste. It’s certainly more flavourful than Keith’s more common offering, but the hops are absent and tasteless. Classic industrial swill marketing as a craft brew. Thanks Lagerboy, you always help develop my palate. Cheers

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Copper pour with a big frothy head. Smells like a waterred down ipa, some hop aroma detected, fair bit of malt, but nothing really stands out. Taste is the same, fairly lit hops trying to break through the water and malt. Lame.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
473 ml can. Pours a clear copper amber with a resilient white head that leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is cereals, caramel and lemon. Flavor is caramel, roasted cereal. Finish is light citrus. Crually lacks in bitterness. Some lingering herbal hops (??). Light to medium body, average carbonation. Does not legitimately taste like a cascade hopped pale ale...disappointing. I seldom do this, but it ended up down the drain.
