3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
341ml brown bottle. 5.5% abv on the label. Medium gold pour, crystal clear. Small white cap that thins out a bit, a few streaks of lace here and there. Nose has oranges, trace spice and fruitiness. Taste has fruity/orangey hops and some light bready malt. Light bitterness with some orange peel/citrus sticking around. Average mouthfeel and carbonation. Overall a surprisng experience - first that Keithís is making single hopped beers, and second that I enjoyed this and wouldnít mind having it again.

The white walls became unbearably bright during those long summer days when the sun would break through the window mid afternoon. During weekdays, I would be coming back from lunch for my nap when the sun was just getting to the angle where it would focus through my window. I didnít mind. The meds they were giving me there allowed me to take my afternoon nap through anything. No, the light did not bother me not did the quiet sobbing of my neighbour who every day, would relive the vivid experience of learning that his wife had been murdered by her deranged father, recently escaped from prison. My neighbour Vern, had helped his wife come to terms with her childhood issues, and promised he would protect her, and that no harm would ever come to her. It was a promise he failed to keep. This is what I surmised by listening to his curious muttering as I dosed off in my private room I had voluntarily been tied down to for the last 3 days of my life. I would wake up and miss those white walls, as the grey dimly lit ceiling would give me the rinder that after dinner it would continue to become darker and everyone would sleep and there would be no one to talk to and I would have no way to confirm my presence in the world until breakfast. I decided maybe it was better to skip dinner, to sleep through until morning where the manics would sing their songs of dawn and I could feed off their simple honest energy. I closed my eyes, but felt a breeze on my face no sooner than I had done so. But my window had been welded shut ever since I sent my love potion out of the window, incidentally, they had also banned showings of the Titanic for my actions as well. I swung my naked feet over the edge of my bed and walked on the cold tiles over to my window, curiously open to the cool blue evening sky, where many others my age were swimming under the increasingly necessary illumination of the unnecessarily hot campfires. As I closed the window, I made the more startling discovery: a single beer bottle on the sill of my window. The unmistakable Keithís logo, but that mention of hops in the title of the beer: a hop cascade? I would have to try it. I opened it and heard the twist of the cap echo through my room. I waited for my busty black nurse to kick in my door and sodomize me as I was accustomed to whenever I acted out. No footsteps. No rap music theme song to articulate her entry. I was safe. I sniffed the beer for poison. My peers often tried to poison me because I was notorious for intentionally aggravating the many neuroses which I could detect in people. No poison: instead a light citrus freshness drifted into my sense. I put the brown bottle into my drool filled mouth and a low giggle came from my chest and reverberated through the bottle amplifying my dopey satisfaction of the taste which came over my long hairy tongue. A simple bitterness on the sides of my tongue followed through fully through the center. And then it was over. The bottle was empty and I knew it was the last beer I would have that night. And I new that night would be the last in which I could withstand this sober atmosphere. I checked out of the holiday inn the day after, and regret it I did not. I walked into the bakery around the corner where my love interest was rolling the dough, got down on one knee and said, "come on baby, I need you". She swiftly pulled out mace and sprayed it directly in my eyes: what a shot. I then lost consciousness. Waking up some time later, I felt the throbbing after effects of sodomizatiom but that was the least of my concern. But what surrounded me in my cage were walls. So white with artificial light. And undying light. No window. No beer. The faint taste of the hops cascade in my mouth: itís all I have now.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can - Mild citrus hops, a little orange and some sweet malt. Fizzy gold with a thin head that dissipates immediately. Sweet malt dominates with some orange hoppy notes but no bitterness. An odd finish with a touch of sourness. Much better than I expected, but still nothing I would volunteer to drink.

Even Keiths does the one-hop beer well. I find it nice to know what you are getting it.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This ale poured a clear medium amber colour with a half decent, creamy head. Scents include cascade hop, grapefruit and pineapple. First sip was smooth but a little thin. Flavours of honey, hops, bread and citrus. Finish is a little bitter with flavours of citrus hop and honey lingering.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma is nice, good Cascade notes of citrus, little bit of resin. not a big aroma but very pleasant. Appearance is OK as well, good amber colour, lasting head but no lace, more clingy. That taste and feel, however, disappoint mightily just like the Hallertauer. No bitterness, no real body. Little aftertaste at the end. Itís the same beer as the Hallertauer, but with the Cascade disappointment instead. I give it a lower rating because I love Cascade hops so much, so Iím even more disappointed.
