Commercial Description:
Nova Scotia’s most popular beer, Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale is fully fermented, mellow-aged for smoothness and uses balanced North American flavour and bittering hops to create a unique, malty flavour. Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale is smooth with a slightly floral hop character and a sweet flavour delivery.

Best on tap. Bottle doesn’t quite do it justice. A great premium lager, although I may be biased as a Canadian. Probably wouldn’t be too taken with this offering if it was an a mass produced American. Very drinkable

Most popular beer around here for good reason. Nothing too fancy with taste, just a quality beer, perfect with the boys at a pub.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, cereal), trace hops (herbs), with notes of DMS and plastic. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly acidic, lightly bitter, unclean. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Dear god, IPA?! Who the hell are they kidding? This is the most ridiculous and egregious example of mislabeling I’ve ever encountered in the beer world, period. IPA? Even the lamest British versions that are effectively bland-ish bitters are miles better than this. I mean, this is just like Miller Lite, really. IPA. Damn, this is hilarious. Even if considered a blond ale, this would still be funny. Undrinkable, at the very best.

Like a good dog, Keiths is a faithful friend that waits at your favorate watering hole with a wagging tail...or should I say...bubbling head. Light enough taste to sip on a hot summer afternoon with slightly more flavor than what you’d expect from an psudo IPA such as this.

I agree with the last guy pure genius calling it an IPA , this was another crappy beer that tasted just like a molson, if it hadn’t said IPA I never would have got it, this sucked.

Another marketing genius from Canada pushed this as a quality beer. Too watery with bitter after-taste. Maybe we should all spill-it a little more?

this beer puts the pale in the IPA. I am sure I brought this on myself the last rating I did was on schaefers and I stated that the session could only go up, this beer is not far up the ladder from schaefer. Not bad but pretty close I think this one could quench a july thirst pretty good, but sipping it on a cold february evening doesn’t do this beer justice, pale weak watery, there you go...eh
