Nova Scotia’s most popular beer, Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale is fully fermented, mellow-aged for smoothness and uses balanced North American flavour and bittering hops to create a unique, malty flavour. Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale is smooth with a slightly floral hop character and a sweet flavour delivery.

Draft. Brilliant golden color with white head, no lacing. Aroma of cereal grain and some biscuit character. No aroma of hops. The taste is clean but very boring. This beer should not be called an India Pale Ale.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a bright yellow-gold color with a medium sized soapy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was tart and bitter with vague fruity hops and a bit of sugar. The flavor was tart, bitter and thin with some lemon and yeast. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Pastic cup at TD-Lansdowne stadium in Ottawa, ON for world cup soccer. A tasty beer but not hoppy enough to match the ipa’s I’m used to.

Fair IPA, not much of a scent, nice golden color, kind of weak IPA taste, not much choice on the menu for IPA type drinks here 2015/06/28 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Yellow pour with thin white head. Not sure how this kids assign IPA. Tastes like a slightly floral pale lager. Total meh.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt and hint of grass. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft to fizzy

IPA?? Tastes like they have switched the label on a Coors Light bottle. Not even a hint of hops and the appearance/colouring is clearly that of a lager... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

341ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a small white head, which dissipates fairly quickly, and doesn’t leave much lacing. The aroma has light grassy and floral hops notes, and not much by way of malt backing. There is a little grassy and spruce flavour up front, but this gives way to an odd, slightly soapy note in the mid-palate, and only very light bitterness to finish. This is far from the most interesting beer around, and that odd soap flavour certainly detracts from it, but from a macro it isn’t too bad.

My Bottom Line:
A complete joke, this beer is. Even as a diluted macro lager, it would not score well.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the clear, very pale blond.
-It tastes as though they have used one or two hop pellets for the entire batch.
-How a beer tagged "India Pale Ale" can be as flavorless as Labatt Blue is beyond me.
-This was tasted in a blind tasting.
-Why drink this when you can have a refreshing glass of water?

Pours pale yellow with small white head. Aroma of hay, grass. No bitterness, light hop spice balanced with slight malt. Very drinkable.
