COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nova Scotiaís most popular beer, Alexander Keithís India Pale Ale is fully fermented, mellow-aged for smoothness and uses balanced North American flavour and bittering hops to create a unique, malty flavour. Alexander Keithís India Pale Ale is smooth with a slightly floral hop character and a sweet flavour delivery.

Minimal hops, and some sweet malty aromas. Taste is sweet and a little watery. The name comes from a time before there was really a description for an IPA, I actually like the fact that they kept the name. However it still isnít all that good for whatever style you consider it.

IPA?? Tastes like they have switched the label on a Coors Light bottle. Not even a hint of hops and the appearance/colouring is clearly that of a lager... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

341ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a small white head, which dissipates fairly quickly, and doesnít leave much lacing. The aroma has light grassy and floral hops notes, and not much by way of malt backing. There is a little grassy and spruce flavour up front, but this gives way to an odd, slightly soapy note in the mid-palate, and only very light bitterness to finish. This is far from the most interesting beer around, and that odd soap flavour certainly detracts from it, but from a macro it isnít too bad.

My Bottom Line:
A complete joke, this beer is. Even as a diluted macro lager, it would not score well.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the clear, very pale blond.
-It tastes as though they have used one or two hop pellets for the entire batch.
-How a beer tagged "India Pale Ale" can be as flavorless as Labatt Blue is beyond me.
-This was tasted in a blind tasting.
-Why drink this when you can have a refreshing glass of water?

Can.

Wow had this on a recent trip to Toronto at a very nice Irish pub Shebeens. Not sure what my Canadian friends think an IPA should taste like because this one is pretty sad. Better bring a 4 pack of green flash ipa with me next time and et them see what a real beer taste like.

Hmm. AB-InBev, huh? Trickery! Had this at Big Rís and Shannonís BBQ in LaGrange, KY, from the bottle. Aroma: Light caramel, virtually no hop character. Appearance: Bottle. Flavor: Watery caramel; nothing resembling hops in the flavor. As others have stated ad nauseam- not an IPA. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: A dull, misnamed beer. If Nutella can be sued for making their product seem healthy, then why canít AB-InBev be sued for allowing this to be called an IPA?

Keithís IPA is a classic beer that is located at many locations around my place of residence, not only is it available on tap at bars and restaurants, it is the premier beer available on tap at the stadium making it a go to delight.

330 on tap. Toronto. Pale yellow in color. Translucent. Small white head. Smells malty, hay, apples, no hops at all. Lacks taste in general. Sweet if anything. Tin palate. Short finish. Easily the worst IPA I have ever had. Generally not a great beer at all.
