2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Weak dried leaves aroma. Crystal clear amber, thin head. Mainly dry malt with a honey character, but weak. Rather macro-ish, but not entirely a lost cause.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
bottle - Pours golden with a small fizzy white head. The aroma features caramel and fruit notes. Itís better than the flavor. Apparently "Nova Scotia style pale ale" means sweet and bland with almost no hops to be found. Not very good.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pour is a bronze with a large with head. Aroma is a dull malt and nothing else. Flavor is the same a dry dull malt and nothing in the way of hops. Poor and bland.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours light copper with a thin, off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, light hops, and a little tin. Not very good and not worth trying.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Blah. What a crappy beer. Aroma was near nothing. Slight graininess with a hint of ginger ale. Pour was a nice enough light hazy gold with lots of rising bubbles and a thin white ring for a head. Taste was very bland and watery with not much going on. Carbonation drowns out what little flavor this beer had. A slight earthy hoppy aftertaste is all that is there and itís faint.

Bottle. Light sweet caramel malt aroma. Clear golden with a small white head. Flat grainy malt flavor with a strange metallic bite thatís not quite bitter. Light body.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from rschnake...thanks Rob! - Pours pale yellow with a foamy white head. Grainy nose, with sweet sticky caramel and toffee, a bit of milky sourness, and some sharpness. Artificial malty caramel sweetness in the taste, grain, and a faint hoppiness on the finish. But real faint. Thin, lightly syrupy and fizzily carbonated.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at McGregís. The pour was a golden yellow with a thin, short lasting head. Its aroma is thinly malted and thinly hopped but the overall impression is crisp and clean. Joe bought me this. Iended up chugging it to gt to the better beers of the night.

After being fairly impressed with the lager, the pale ale is a big disappointment. Watery and without much in the way of flavor. Getting some slight (very) stone fruit but was expecting at least a tiny hop bite here. Just sorta sits on the palate like a wet blanket.
