Poured from the bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer was a predominantly clear straw color with a small-to-average-sized foamy white head with shorter retention, and modest lacing and cling. Its aroma featured sour malt and barely along with some yeast and grainy hops, and some floral and light citrus notes. It had a fairly sour-bitter grainy taste blended with bits of mash and some barley. The body had a medium-full mouthfeel with average carbonation and life and was a bit wet and watery.

Rated from notes taken 16 Sep 2011 -- Not bad, but honestly not good. A little malt flavor and that’s about it. Easy to drink though, so it’s got that going for it.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a decent looking hazy orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sticking around the sides of the glass. The smell had some burnt caramel malts with a side of grassiness but not exactly showing anything wonderful. The taste was somewhat sweet but toasty with a slight breadiness trying to come in. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability. Overall, honestly, it’s just an okay beer.

Rated on 5-13-2011. This bottled beer pours an off-white head that has a short retention, transparent body, no carbonation observed, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is malt. Where’s the hops?? The taste mimics the aroma. Again, where’s the hops?? The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is so tasteless it is not funny. There are no hops, no character, no nothing.

From notes: Poured clear pale amber with a 1-finger white head. Mild piney aroma, with a touch of caramel. Body is light and a bit fizzy. Mild flavor of piney hops mixed with caramel.

12oz bottle. Poured a light yellow color with a thin fizzy head. Smells grainy and a bit bready. Tastes bready with just the slightest hop presence. Very light and crisp.

Bottle. Light sweet caramel malt aroma. Clear golden with a small white head. Flat grainy malt flavor with a strange metallic bite that’s not quite bitter. Light body.

This is a weak pale ale. It is initially sweet, like carbonated apple juice. Head is weak. Smells of apples. But watery overall impression 3.5-bd, 4-jd

bottle - Pours golden with a small fizzy white head. The aroma features caramel and fruit notes. It’s better than the flavor. Apparently "Nova Scotia style pale ale" means sweet and bland with almost no hops to be found. Not very good.
