1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 KidVenom (27) - Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 27, 2009

Basically A duplicate of RIckards Red. Again nothing special. A harsh bitterness that doesn’t quit and a serious lack of flavor. A disappointment.

Appearance wise looked promising. Aroma was undistinguished. Taste was sweetish, but not clear or crisp. One and not so well done.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ronjustron (22) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 19, 2012
It’s a good pour, good colour and goes down well with not too much of a harsh aftertaste. Overall, a truly enjoyable beer.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 vianney (19) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 1, 2010
Aroma: caramel, grass, spruce,
Appearance: amber, red, clear, minimal head, white foam,
Taste: light sweetness,
Palate: light body, thin feel, fizzy, astringent,
Overall: This isn’t as bad as people make it out to be.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Jagooar (18) - British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 17, 2011
Poured from bottle into glass at home. Little to no head. Bland aroma, was fighting to get a whiff of anything distinguishable. Didn’t waste too much time on it. Boring taste, one of the blander amber ales I’ve had. Watery. Overall, it’s a mass produced flavourless amber ale. It is more expensive than the cheap stuff and it just isn’t worth it. I’d take a Cariboo or a PBR anyday over this stuff. However, I won’t complain if it was given to me, just like every beer!

J’adore la couleur de cette bière mais le gout et l’arome sont un peu faibles
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 brufrog (15) - New Brunswick, CANADA - MAR 31, 2006
tastes the same as regualr Keith’s. Esepcially when ice cold. Maybe warm it will taste better? But then you’d really taste the DMS (Creamed corn/asparagus)
2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Mechem (13) - Lima, PERU - JUN 18, 2009
Had this beer up at a Ontario bar. I had recently had Rickards Red and decided to explore other Red’s in the area.
This one however disappointed me a bit. The smell was good, but it appeared a little weak. The head was minimal. The red amber color was more clear, and the whole beer felt very watery.
The taste was nothing remarkable. Not a bad red but certainly not as palatable as Rickards. The texture was quite thin and watery, and the beer seemed to have a light weight feel, not really thick. I wasnt asking for a milkshake but I expect my red to be a little heavier.
I personally didnt love this one, and opted to have just the one trial pint and leave it at that.
