Pours a amber colour with slim head. aroma is caramel malts and flavour similar but bit watered down

473ml can pours amber in color with about 2 fingers of off-white head that settles down to a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light caramel and hops. Taste is malty sweet with a hint of smokiness and a mild hoppy bitter finish. Light to medium body with soft carbonation, this is a slightly above macrobrew quality.

[3863-20110806] 473mL can. Walnut plastic grains aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy yellow head. Sweet grainy nut flavour has a lasting nutgrain. Medium body. Fair. (5/3/4/2/10) 2.4

Aroma: sweet with plenty of caramel, hint of candy sugars , molasses , fruit.6-
Appearance: clear , shade of amber with touch of copper. Lighter tanned top.
Body , Flavour , Palate and Final Notes: medium bodied. Soft texture. Plum ,plenty of candy malt, some caramel. Fairly light carbonation. Sweet berry like fruit hints on sides. Decent to have moe than once.

2011-08-05. Crisp amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Flavour is odd, sweet malt with an earthy sort of smokey hints to it. Peat? 5+ Mild aroma of sweet caramel with a similar earthy malt character as in the aroma. 5+ Average plus palate. Bit watery at times, the flavours don’t quite come together. UPDATED: AUG 21, 2011 Can. Not a good beer from Alexander Keith’s. Amber and a little smoky but kind of bland overall.

Bottle. Medium tea colored amber, off white head with decent retention. Sweet buttery toffee aroma and flavor, a little butterscotch. Nice flavor density, even if lacking in complexity. More of an english strong ale, but not bad.

Canette 473ml. De couleur cuivrée foncée et claire. Nez de caramel, moyen de grains de malt aux notes rôties, léger de fruits (agrumes, traces de raisins rouges et de canneberges) avec des notes de houblon herbeux et de faibles traces de fumée de bois. Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux notes huileuses et crémeuses. Notes fruitées (agrumes, traces de prunes et de raisins) accompagné de faibles notes fumées lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût malté de caramel aux notes rôties avec des petites notes de biscuits puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux (herbes mouillées) avec des traces de noix grillées. Post-goût moyen et aux notes asséchantes, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux avec des notes fumées et des petites traces rôties.

341 bottle. I liked it, which means it probably isn’t a real scotch ale. Sweet with a slight smokey flavour. Complex for a macrobrew.

pours clear pale reddish with an ok-white head. butterscotch all over, maybe small hint of smokiness, no malt depth, almost cloying. light hopping - some herbal notes. light body, aggressive carbonation. not that bad...
