A medium-bodied lager with a soft malty personality showing a touch of hops and light nutty flavour expression that ends with a smooth, relaxed finish.

well, you know. Blonde, on tap at Oleary’s pub Scotia. Nice head, ok taste, a little citrus, a little malt. Probably won’t get it again.

Draft at Buffalo Brewfest. Pours gold with a white head. Very light malty aroma. Flavor has a bit of butterscotch and popcorn. Not awful.

I find that this beer is a better one thant the original AK. While its not the one with the most vibrant flavor, its the one that is the best balanced.

Tap at Hofbrau, Interlochen, MI.
Pours a pleasing amber with a subtle head and um, subtler, barely there nut and butter poured through copper piping. Tastes of roasted cotton candy and nuts, all mixed in a heavily diluted water base. I’ll buck tradition next time.

355 ml can from NSLC. Pours a clear amber/gold with a moderate, though quickly disappearing, white head. Bland sweet, grainy aroma. Taste is also bland, though not as sweet as the nose. Somewhat more full-bodied than the Keith’s "IPA" but nothing to write home about. Agree with some of the other commenters that it comes out ahead of their flagship offering, but still best skipped.

[1298-20080418] 341mL bottle. Corn grains aroma is bland and floral. Clear, brown orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Vegetable floral flavour. Light-medium body is thin. Blah.

Overheard: "It’s worth 3pts more just because it doesn’t call itself an IPA."

Draft @ Northern Lights Steaks - This is better than I expected it would be, not that I am going to run right back out and buy it, this is going to be my only experience with it as I pass through the Yukon. Tasted very fresh and clean, lacked any kind of complexity at all, but went down very smooth, with a light bit of corny, biscuity malts. Meh.

Draft. Poured a deep amber body with thin head. Aroma is light bread and grain, some hops. Flavor is lightly bready with some crisp citrus hops. Found myself enjoying this one more than I would have expected. Nice mouthfeel.
