Excellent light pilsner! I’d never tried this before and was greatly surprised. Sweet nectar in the aroma; superior light malt with subtle yeast. No skunk or inept bitter edge that often aflicts Euro-imports in the USA. Reminiscent of the best Dutch beers in Holand right here in the States.

Pretty nice pilsner. Very similar to Heiniken....however there is not the lingering skunkiness with this one. Clean flavour and very refreshing. Aroma is light but fresh and enjoyable. I liked this one and the price was very reasonable.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nshack (13) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - APR 16, 2003
I wouldn't be able to tell this one from Spaten. It was malty in the same way and a very clean lager. A bit skunky from the green bottle, but it disapated as it sat. Hops were not too prevalent. Overall, a good dutch lager. Now we just need brown bottles.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 dhshool (22) - Richmond, Illinois, USA - JAN 21, 2006
Bottle:
Pours a pale yellow with a huge head that last about a minute then dissapates to 1/8" with some lacing. Extremely clear beer with very few small bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma is faint, but slightly grassy. Flavor is mostly hops and slightly malty, a bit grassy, with a slightly bitter, metallic aftertaste. Tastes more carbonated than it looks or acts, which is good. Metallic aftertaste hangs on for a while. Still, not a bad beer at all. I find it more palatable than Heineken, but not as smooth as Grolsch.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Aurelius (3143) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2002
A good import lager at $5.79 US/6. Malty/yeasty German lager aroma. No skunk despite the green bottle. A little tangy in the finish. Nothing really distinguishing about it, but it did well with beef.

Not a bad beer. Tastes Dutch (if there is such a taste) although it is better than a Heineken. Not overwhelmingly hoppy, and refreshing. Enjoyable, although more expensive than I’d like.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 uglybastard (101) - Riverside, California, USA - AUG 27, 2002
The beer’s packaging certainly looks impressive. Comes in green bottles with a paper “seal” going from the cap to the neck of the bottle. When poured, it has a light yellow body with big creamy-white head. Lots of bubbles rising to the top. Grassy, slightly hoppy smell. Smells slightly better than a Heineken (yeah, it’s a Holland beer). Bit of sugary sweetness on the tongue with a slight hop after taste. Better than a Heine.

A thin bodied beer with a straw color appearance. This was border line skunky. This tasted like a cheap rip off of Heineken.I wouldnt be suprised if this was Heiny's leftovers.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 frankR (145) - Davis, California, USA - MAR 27, 2004
White foamy head. Rather dark yellow color. Nose is malts, fait hops and some green bottle skunk. Flavor is malty some hop bitterness. Typical green bottled lager beer, a notch above Heineiken I must say.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lumpy (1802) - Carrollton, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2005
Bottle. Hi. My name is Lumpy, and I love skunky beers. Yeah, I said it. I really do. Don’t know why. And you know what? This one fits the bill. Nose is mellow and skunky. Has notes of honey, skunk, mild hops, hay, cardboard, and sweetness. The sweetness is a bit much and a little too much upfront. The upfront taste is okay overall, but the finish is a bit cloying and cardboard like, albeit crisp. I like this type of beer, but I think that Grolsch does this much better.
