2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorisPPattyn (6436) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUL 27, 2011
Medium to good, dissipating, light-yellowish head over metallic golden beer. Caramelly nose, maltsugars, some green herbs, faintly grassy. Quite sweet, with just a point of neutral to light-bitterish in the finish. Again maltsugars predominant. Feels quite carbonated; slick, grist/patly dissolved sugars’ texture. Mineral water quality. Quite acceptable - as a Heller Bock (7.5% ABV!). The commercial caption ("highly hopped") fits it like a flag a dredging boat. Talk about renewing an old acquaintance - probably one of the first Dutch beers I ever tasted!
