33cl bottle. Nice pilsener with a great dry finish. A little too sweet for being a great beer.

@Backlog 3.1 Alfa bieren zijn altijd wat smaakvol, orange/gouden met witte kraag, moutig, zoet, karamel, redelijk zoet. redelijke body. iets van vanille

Clear light golden amber colour, off-white head. Fruity aroma, caramel, malts. Sweet malty flavour, caramel, light hops, bit spicy. Medium finish, light mineral, caramel, malts.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Old yellow with a thin quickly diminishing white head. Malty aroma. Fairly sweet and a bit thin mouthfeel. Short medium bitter aftertaste. I like the normal Alfa pilsener better to be honest, this one is too sweet for me.

Bottle@tasting (1997), 300 ml. Head: lots of beige foam. Colour: clear yellow golden (brass). Aroma: hops,malt. Taste: bittersweet, malt. Palate: medium dry, smooth, medium bitter finish, medium CO2. Overall: nice.

Bottle of 300 ml at home. This beer pours a deep golden yellow colour, maybe two tones lighter than of copper.Very thin head, white in colour. Minimal activity in the glass in the form of bubbles. The head disappeared rather quckly. Obvious aroma of malts. The taste is sweet, some citrus in there, with a slight bitter aftertaste. The high alcohol is very nicely hidden. Thick on the body with average carbonation. Overall, quite good.

33cl bottle poured into a ’La Chouffe’ tulip on 25 Oct 2012 @ home. True to the Dort look: clear, bright, clean and golden with a full head of white foam. I thought it went down hill from now on! The nose and taste are fairly sweet with alcohol adding to the strange unbalanced feel the beer gives off. The beer is too sweet and alcoholic for the flavours it has (or more to the point: doesn’t have). Bland and far too sweet for a proper Dortmunder.

#816 Der "Super Dortmunder" ist goldgelb mit feinporigem Schaum, der sich einen Tick zu schnell verabschiedet. In der Nase süßmalzig und leicht alkoholisch. Der Antrunk ist schwer und voll, aber geschmacklich ist dieses Export sehr süß geraten und leider überhaupt nicht hopfig. Der Abgang wird zu sehr vom deutlich zu hohem Alkoholgehalt dominiert. Nein, dieser "Super Dortmunder" ist leider ein viel zu süßer, leicht bockiger Holländer! Dabei sieht das Label der Flasche echt gut aus... Tried on tap in the Bonte Koe. Not a particularly good attempt at a Helles, just a poor lager really.

Good aroma, appearance, taste and palate. Decent, memorable. Rated from the bottle.
