3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sweet malty nose, bit caramel, bread, butter, some citrus, grassy hops, herbs, clear deep golden, rocky white head, good lacing, sweetbitter taste, soft carbonation, thick texture, feels medium body because you don’t taste the high alcohol, average carbonation, smooth bittersweet finish, very well-balanced beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear dark yellow with small white foam ring. Aroma is seriously malty. Taste is malty and quite some carbon gas. Aftertaste is short. Think this beer might taste better when joined with some spicy Indonesion food. (Velp 201307)

Bottle at home, done from memory, rating is just for my own. I will edit if I drink it again, don’t know what to write here, most Alfa beers are great but this beer was just meh...

Alfa bieren zijn altijd wat smaakvol, orange/gouden met witte kraag, moutig, zoet, karamel, redelijk zoet. redelijke body. iets van vanille

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Old yellow with a thin quickly diminishing white head. Malty aroma. Fairly sweet and a bit thin mouthfeel. Short medium bitter aftertaste. I like the normal Alfa pilsener better to be honest, this one is too sweet for me.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle of 300 ml at home.
This beer pours a deep golden yellow colour, maybe two tones lighter than of copper.Very thin head, white in colour. Minimal activity in the glass in the form of bubbles. The head disappeared rather quckly.
Obvious aroma of malts.
The taste is sweet, some citrus in there, with a slight bitter aftertaste. The high alcohol is very nicely hidden.
Thick on the body with average carbonation.
Overall, quite good.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
33cl bottle poured into a ’La Chouffe’ tulip on 25 Oct 2012 @ home.
True to the Dort look: clear, bright, clean and golden with a full head of white foam. I thought it went down hill from now on!
The nose and taste are fairly sweet with alcohol adding to the strange unbalanced feel the beer gives off. The beer is too sweet and alcoholic for the flavours it has (or more to the point: doesn’t have). Bland and far too sweet for a proper Dortmunder.
