Light hazy darker blond coloure with some light carbonation and an average white head. Malty sweet and fruity hinted aroma. Full palate. Finish is smouth, light creamy malty with a slight yeasty ending. Medium.

Well-known Dutch lager, like the other Alfas brewed with their own spring water. Relatively stable, snow white head on a pure golden coloured, cristal clear beer; nose gets floral Saaz hops, a bit of hay, grains and sweetish malts, taste malty, sweetish in onset, towards the end mildly hoppy, and what surprised me the most, was the fact that in spite of it being bottom-fermented, pale and a lager, the alcohol was hardly noticeable. I am a bit surprised by the negative reviews here, but I had it over ten years ago and it may have declined in quality since then, so I guess it’s time to re-rate it. alcohol ondanks de hoge dosis, de ondergisting en de bleke kleur amper merkbaar, zelfs niet in de afdronk

A clear golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. It has a malty aroma with fruits like citrus and it’s sweet. The taste of gentle malts grassy, fruits like citrus. It’s sweet with a little bitter. The aftertaste is little itter with sweet.

Clear dark yellow with small white foam ring. Aroma is seriously malty. Taste is malty and quite some carbon gas. Aftertaste is short. Think this beer might taste better when joined with some spicy Indonesion food. (Velp 201307)

Form the bottle into a tall boy glass. Bright, sparkling, honey gold with tight, fine carbonation sustaining a tight, well formed, dense head of cream that laced well. Appearance, lovely! Slightly leftfield ’eggy’ nose lasted a few minutes before subsiding to reveal some sweet candi and fresh toasted grains. Simple. It is grainy, sweet and spicy in the mouth filling all corners but lacking in the middle.Soft on the tongue with a faintly fruity, bitter and spicy hop swallow that is void of the ABV. Residually sweet, it holds some mango and peach juices in the mouth long between swallows. Nothing disagreeable here, all neat and tidy, smooth and quenching. Not too bad a drop. Just needs more essence in the core!!! (30cL, BBE 12/06, Int’l Beer Shop, W. Leederville)

Test vom 5.11.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,8,8,7,12,8 - 8,35

Hopfig-grasiger Geruch, leicht zitronig. Süßlich-heuiger Antrunk. Mittig etwas schal, malzig. Malzstichiger Abgang. Bittert moderat ab. Trinkbar.

Amber/golden coloured brew. Aroma is nice, a bit honey, bit malty. Hoppy flavours, a bit bitter. Tastes not really that great, maybe a bit too sweet.

Clear orange-golden color. Nice nose, hoppy flavor. Slight alcohol finish. There are better examples of the the Dortmunder style out there.

@Backlog 3.1 Alfa bieren zijn altijd wat smaakvol, orange/gouden met witte kraag, moutig, zoet, karamel, redelijk zoet. redelijke body. iets van vanille
