I don’t really get the point of this beer. This is just like the regular Alfa Pils (which is actually quite good), but added with a whole lot of fermentable sugar to get more alcohol. Result is the regular pils plus a pungent sweet flavour and noticeable alcohol in the aftertaste, making the beer lose its balance.

Can shared at chriso’s pre-GBBF shindig 2013 - London. Pours perfectly clear gold with a mellow, creamy white head. Light medicinal notes on the nose, some pale bread. Big sugary flavor with heavy bready malts and dough. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, a little syrupy, with just hints of hay. Pretty garbage.

Clear yellow, small white foam ring, little lacing. Strong barley aroma, barley taste. High alcohol, otherwise regular pilsner. (Velp 201412)

Can 50cl. @local supermarket. Clear medium golden color, big frothy white head, recedes slowly, average lacing; aroma sweet malty, grain, hay, alcohol; taste moderate bittersweet, alcohol; full body, oily texture, average carbonation, finish bittersweet, bit sharp; overall nothing special.

50 cl can. The beer starts sharp-malty and very sweetish. Slightly bitter in the main part, alcoholic-worming. Easy to drink, but totally sweetish and sticky. The aftertaste is warming-sweet, slightly malty-grainy with hints of bitterness.

Can. An yellow beer with a thin head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and metal, and so is the flavor.

Can @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. Love the look of this retro can. You know you’re getting into some serious swill. The pour’s gold with a small head. Golden honey, cereal grain. Apples. The taste is similar. Some newspaper. Honeyed apple. Slightly hot sugary finish. Full body, moderate carbonation. Overall, one you’d want to finish before it gets warm enough to taste.

Pours a fizzy copper with a thick white head. Taste is far too sweet with seemingly no bitterness.

oranje/amber helder met schuimige witte kraag
zwaar zoet, alcoholisch, zwaar moutige/granige smaak
alcohol toch redelijk verborgen, medium body, kan me niet erg bekoren.
