COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alfa Hellenic Beer is a lager beer, with 5% alcohol content with it’s authentic Greek name and origin, that make it more familiar to Greeks and non-Greeks around the world. It is refreshing, easy to drink and brings to ones memory the authentic taste of Greece! Alfa’s unique light gold color and rich foam is the ultimate pleasure-maker. It is made of high quality natural ingredients (water, barley malt, hops and yeast) and its packaging is distinctive, with the bottle being a more modern version of the original Alfa bottle.

Can. Pours a clear, slightly pale yellow with a diminishing white head. No lacing. Aroma is sweetish and a bit tart, with cereals, a bit of hops, and an overtone of bread, the latter increasing as it warms and taking on a distinct stale profile. Dusty, sweet cereal flavour with notes of hay and stale bread, as well as an off-note which tastes like plasticine smell, later supplemented by a strong dusty note. Kind of weird, but not quite as bad as it sounds. Sweetish, mildly bitter finish with a slight greasy/grainy note. 04.02.12.

330ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a 2 finger white head that settles quickly leaving no lacing behind. Aroma is cereal grains and grassy hops. Taste is mild malt sweetness with a moderate hop bitterness. Just another typical lager style beer.

Standard pale lager. Slightly better than Mythos, which I had just before, but otherwise nondescript.

330ml green bottle. Golden with a white head that fades quickly. No lacing. Nose is grainy and sweet with faint hops. Grainy taste, light grassy hops, low bitterness. A bit of grass in the aftertaste. Generic international styled lager in the vein of Heineken. Somewhat refreshing, but not something I would rush out to purchase again.

Nice golden color but no real head. Smell reminds me of cider but harsh. Not really my kind of beer- light and sweet. But not completely tragic- slight honey flavor.

Sampled on Santorini. Very innocuous - cold and wet but severely lacking in any sort of flavour.

Green, 0,5 l bottle courtesy of my beerpal Mikal. Pours pale golden with a fingerthick, quickly diminishing, whiterocky head. Aroma is laden with light malts and horse blanket. Sweet and bitter flavors with notes of turnip and cardboard lurking, threatening to overtake the experience as the temperature rises. Better drink fast... Medium body, carbonation a bit on the heavy side, and the tongue left to dry.
