A pale yellow, fizzy beer with a weak white head. Some citrus fruit aroma in an otherwise non-descript nose. The taste isn’t much better. A fizzy mouthfeel, with a dry taste, some citrus fruit flavour, hoppy, but becomes malty and cloying the warmer the beer gets. The finish is malty and cloying. (Draught - Restaurant Dimitria, Faliraki, Greece).

All round pretty awful but have had worst. Everything about this beer talks of cheap grain grain and grain. Corny and cheap.

Draught, amber gold with a large foamy white head - lots of carbonation. A grainy malt aroma. A dry palate, just a touch of sweetness in the grainy malt flavour and a sticky dry finish. A little off putting was the ice that was floating in the glass - served a bit gold I think!!

Actually smelled pretty good at first pour, and then the skunk set it. Damn green bottle. Seemed like a stronger malt backbone for a pale lager. I didn’t finish it

My 200th pale lager! Not a statistic to boast about but I need something to right about this beer. Slight sunburnt golden body with average head. Grainy aroma and fairly bland taste. Drinkable but not impressive.

In the absence of anything new to drink I’m resorting to Euro-lagers to fill in the late hot spell of early Summer. This poured a bright gold, tinged with orange, and in it set a single eddying stream of bubbles that tried but failed to complete a head. Instead I had a single dollop of cream dead centre to play with. The instant my nose took in the aroma alarm bells went off. This is Heineken in a funny looking bottle. Lo-and-behold Heineken even own the brewery. Mild, damp lawn clipping notes, feint lemon cordial, a little pepper and ever distant hay. On the plus it was clean as a whistle. Fruity, though quite dry and sour in the mouth. Lemons, grass, green apples, a little sour-dough. Very little bitterness in back. Drops off with sourish malt but has very little length. Flavour is very subtle, the body quite light but it is watery. Good fizz, tickles the palate and keeps it lively. One to slam back with lunch after a few hours clearing your yard. Average quaffer. Can. Clear, pale golden with a small, white head. Fruity, grainy and malty aroma. Frutiy flavor with citrus notes. Thin body. A nice Mediterranean beer. Or was I only thirsty for beer? (061013)
