Alfa Hellenic Beer is a lager beer, with 5% alcohol content with it’s authentic Greek name and origin, that make it more familiar to Greeks and non-Greeks around the world. It is refreshing, easy to drink and brings to ones memory the authentic taste of Greece! Alfa’s unique light gold color and rich foam is the ultimate pleasure-maker. It is made of high quality natural ingredients (water, barley malt, hops and yeast) and its packaging is distinctive, with the bottle being a more modern version of the original Alfa bottle.

Bottle. Fairly good lager with a kind of sweetness to it. A bit boring though.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2009 The aroma is not much it has sweet malt, light grassy hops and a touch of metal. The appearance is golden with a smaller sized head and quite a few floating particles. The flavor is spot on for the style. It’s malty with grassy and minty hops. The palate is smooth and soft with carbonation. Overall not a bad little lager!

.5l bottle all over the place in Greece. Between Mythos, or Amstel which are in every bar in greece, I prefer this Alfa. It comes across as a macro lager, but its seems a little cleaner, lightly more hopped, and and more drinkable. Still not by any means a beer I would seek out.

Draught. Clear yellow body with a medium white head. Bit malty aroma with lots of corn and a slight hoppy touch. Weak malty flavour with some flowery notes. Thin and grainy pale lager yet refreshing.

.5l bottle in Athens. Bottom line, it’s a thin macro, just like all the other thin macros. Wouldn’t drink again.

From a bottle poured golden color with a fair amount of head. Typical grainy skunky not that good fair and aftertaste.

Blonde beer with mediocre taste. Nice colour, light grain flavor. Not very good to me though.
