Alfa Hellenic Beer is a lager beer, with 5% alcohol content with it’s authentic Greek name and origin, that make it more familiar to Greeks and non-Greeks around the world. It is refreshing, easy to drink and brings to ones memory the authentic taste of Greece! Alfa’s unique light gold color and rich foam is the ultimate pleasure-maker. It is made of high quality natural ingredients (water, barley malt, hops and yeast) and its packaging is distinctive, with the bottle being a more modern version of the original Alfa bottle.

I didn’t like this at all. It’s just so watery and tasteless. Eventhough I was looking for a "light" beer during 30°c weather, I was still dissapointed. If you’re on holiday in Greece try a Mythos or a Fix before this one.

Botella de 33 cl de Grecia via veni. Tomada en julio de 2007 (con fecha de cons pref para 01-2008). Sin mucho que resaltar, fácil de beber y bastante comercial.

500ml bottle from Flora Supermarket, Lindos. Clear golden colour, foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, grassy. Taste is malty, grain, corn, grassy, light bitterness. Watery mouthfeel, light bodied, high carbonation, lightly bitter finish. Bland lager, quite OK for drinking cold.

Draft poured into a tall frosted mug. Simple light grassy aroma. A pale, golden, lager with a white head. Nice citrus, hay, tastes. A light bod. Very drinkable summer lager. Perfect for poolside lounging.

Sweet malty lager , with a sweet aftertaste . Would only recommend if served very cold, into a frozen glass.

I’ve had a lot of international lagers, and this is the perfect example. Even compared to other Greek lagers I’ve had in the past week, which had different notes of sour or fruit, this was simple and shameless--just a light taste of "beer" with nothing interesting or redeeming. But if you like "beer" you’ll probably like this stuff. Bottle in Olympia.

This was my beer of choice for most of my holiday in lefkada. Its nice at lunch when its about 30c outside and the beer is cold so you don’t mind it doesn’t taste of a lot. It doesn’t have a bitter after taste, its golden yellow with carbonation and lacing. It comes in bottles and on draft. Its pretty cheap too. The pic is a bit old tho.

500ml in tap. Aroma is light hops. Appearance is pale golden with a white foam. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Has a strong carbonation and leaves a light and nice dryness. Very refreshing for hot temperatures.

Can, 0.33l, courtesy of Simon. Clear straw color with small frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma is grainy, grassy and papery. Tastes of light sweet and sour grainy malt, following is chalky, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is mild bitter. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. So damned waaaaatery...
