This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of frothy finely sized of unnoted length white colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent with a slight haze and unnoted in color. Its aroma contained notes of grassy and was very skunky. Its mouth feel is tingly crisp with a mellow palate and a hoppy malty aftertaste. Its flavor contained malty hoppy notes. It was not all that bad once you got past the smell.

Generic pale lager but, as with Caribbean versions, drinking it on a sailboat while watching a picture-perfect sunset seems totally appropriate.

Bottle brought back by a friend from their Greek holiday. Golden amber colour with white head, minimal carbonation. Sweet syrupy slightly metallic aroma, rather oily and sticky texture, but not an unpleasant drink. Had worse.

Bottle/Tap @ Restaurant

If you’ve tried Mythos or any other similar Greek beer then you’ve tried Alfa. They are almost indistinguishable. To be brief this beer is standard, inoffensive and cheap. Straw colour, regular white head, weak hoppy/grainy aroma, goes down easily. Good with souvlaki.

Typical foreign Lager. Clear/yellow coloring, bland taste, and a nasty aftertaste. Recommended only to say you’ve had Greek beer.

Bottle@Zakynthos. Gold coloured, large white head. Average carbonation. Aroma is grainy. Taste is bitter, grass and cereal is prominent. A good beer in Greece that tastes a little more bitter than other mass produced pale lagers within the country.

On tap in Piraeus, Greece, from a frosted mug. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of grain, some light lemon. Flavour is light sweet, light grainy, light lemon finish. Light bodied, soft carbonation. Not the worst if drunk cold in a hot climate.

Golden color, low carbonation, light taste, light aroma, everything is light...In a hot Greek day, better drink a glass of water.
